Had an amazing time, very exhausting trip full of ups and downs! Took my family out of our element and we survived!
A few things that surprised us, we were at the Fort from August 21st to the 29th tent camping, we were at site 2039 and with the exception of the weekend we had no one around us, it was like our own private oasis!
Animal sightings were phenominal!
We brought a fan for each of our 2 tents and only used them twice and when we did we had to turn off mid night cause we were cold. Don't get me wrong it was hot during the day, but when your at the parks going in and out of air condition you don't even feel it. Myrtle Beach was way hotter and more humid!
The bathrooms are cleaner then mine at home, my family were way spoiled! When we went to Myrtle Beach state park after Disney my daughter started crying about the bathrooms at Myrtle Beach, full of centapede's and spiders!
Definetly would camp again, minus the drive. We have driven straight through before (24 hrs) and we broke this trip into 3 days down, 3 days back with camping in between and found it way more exhausting. Hind sight we would have been better off staying the full 12 days at Disney! We really didn't like the 2 state parks in Myrtle Beach we stayed at!
