Been and gone and done it!

Didn't think we could swing the Western this year but DH had an accident at work (not life-threatening, praise be!) and we got a nice insurance check Friday. Did we put it in a savings account? Yeah right! I called DCL last night and we're (me, DH and DD (10)now sailing on Aug 31st!

Got everything I asked for, Cat 6 on Deck 6 starboard (last two times been port), second seating for dinner. Confirmed in stateroom #6588 (waitlisted for something further forward but not really bothered - after all, we're going to be on the MAGIC!)

Oh, I wish it was August!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm happy a potentially negative situation turned into such a positive one! I can't think of any better way to spend an unexpected windfall. Have a great trip!

I'm so glad that your dh is okay. I'm sorry he had to get hurt at all.....but glad that you are being compensated. Have a great cruise.
We are going on DCL for the first time on 5/11. I am SO SO SO excited.
