After looking wistfully out of the window at the rain all this week (School hols in Glasgow), mossyflossy's headsup about cheap flights on wayne's Live Halloween Trip report was too much to resist! 4 weeks with Continental leaving on the 4th July for £422 from Glasgow. :woohoo: Looks like it will be the first ever solo trip for DH and I. :scared1: Scary stuff! :rotfl2:

... netflights.

Now we can spend the next 8 months planning. So much to do and so much time. :thumbsup2 Never been to OKW - seems like a possibility.

Well done Mrs TT. Loads of time to plan:cool1:

The cheap prices seem to be for Continental/BMI. Search your dates on Kayak but book via cashback site not through the kayak link IYSWIM. Available via lastminute, ebookers, expedia etc. Seems to be a glitch as double on Continental site, so don't dilly too long...340 in July/Aug is a great price.

Great price and so pleased to hear that DISers are picking up a bargain :goodvibes

Thanks everyone for your good wishes. Haven't booked this far out for a couple of years, but the price was just too good.:)

Hi, i was just wondering how exactly you did this. I've tried, but don't know what you mean by 'via cashback'??

I'm a member of Quidco. It costs £5 each year to be a member but in the past year have received over £200 in cashback by making my usual internet purchases through their website. :thumbsup2 I started by looking a flight prices on travelsupermarket, tripadvisor and kayak. I then checked what cashback the agents were offering through quidco. Netflights were offering the flights I was interested in for £422 and by clicking on the link provided by quidco I should get 1.6% cashback from them. I've already received an email confirming my purchase has tracked at £13.52. I now have to wait until netflights pays this to quidco, who will then pay out to me. :) Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the info, but I'm having difficulty getting the flights at the any where near the prices you have got them for. Did you have to go through your cashback site to get that price?

I'm sorry to say that I think all the flights at this price have now gone. There was a suggestion somewhere that the price had been uploaded to the agents incorrectly as price checks with the airlines direct were comping up double, hence the bargain basement price. It would appear that the loophole has been closed, or if it was a genuine price they've all been sold. Over the years we've just got used to checking and if we see a bargain we don't hesitate - we book. The flights I booked yesterday are now coming up at over twice the price! There will be a mistake at some point again I'm sure. Just keep looking. Kind folks here will give you a heads up when there's something afoot. ;)

I think you are right - it is one of the two of the above. Yet, I did find the prices directly on the CO website - but you had to go through a round about way of getting them. I had to put in specific dates, then when the results came up I added the flexible dates search option and then clicked on lowest price. It only worked if I did it this way, not if I put in those 'bargain' dates first. Odd, but something to keep my occupied and out of trouble for a while

We are not long back from OKW and it was great. Ok so there is not a huge CS option but overall its a great location close to DTD and not too far from any of the parks.

We had a studio room and it was really nice, we were a bit worried it would not be much of an improvement on the ones at POR and PORFQ but it was great.

Something we might be looking at soon, we have £180 of Virgin vouchers to use, either on duty free onboard next July or book offpeak flights for just myself and Karen and use aginst those.
