Hey Disboards! Welp, it's been 5 long years. Last time our family went to Disney World was literally RIGHT before Covid - February 2020. Our girls are 14 and 16 now, but they're ready to go back and we're excited. We're looking at a Thanksgiving week trip this time, which will be a shock to our systems. When they were little, we'd always pull them out of school and go in late Jan, early Feb. Great time to go, lower crowds and cooler weather. But now that they're in high school, we're gonna have to go during a peak time. We did do one Spring Break trip around 2018, so we have an idea.

What I'm MOST concerned about is that I know nothing of the latest strategies. I've heard about all of the Genie stuff, but if there's a way to get a debrief without reading 75 pages, I'd love it.

I used to love EasyWDW's plans and then mixing in the strategies I learned here. We went 5 times between 2012 and 2020 and I got good at planning, but now I feel like a noob all over again.

So I'm just hoping one of you kind folks can link me to a couple of threads where I can catch up quickly and/or some strategies. We're going to try to do one early morning for HS to catch RotR, but otherwise we're thinking we may switch to a late night strategy. With the girls being older, they're more night owls. I know it's probalby not AS strategic as early mornings, but if there's a good way be efficient this way, I'm hopeful.

Appreciate the help!

You will want to read up about Lightning Lanes. Genie Plus has been replaced by Lightning Lane Multi Pass (LLMP) and Lightning Lane Single Pass (LLSP)

Recommended YouTube to watch Monmouth Club and The Ear Scout.

Definitely can recommend EarScouts and Mammoth Club—very easy to understand and felt very comfortable booking LLs 7 days out, modifying before and day of, etc.
