I had read here in a post about a product that someone used to help there child with night training. Does anyone know or have experience with such a thing? I am wondering if it really works. We have 2 kids we would like to have night trained so we don't have to worry in the hotel beds. We definitely could use it with our 5 year old.

I posted the original recommendation for the product. It is really only recommended, though, for kids 6 and over. It seems that in kids under 6, there is the idea that no action is needed because they are likely to outgrow it.

That being said, we use the Malem alarm purchased from the bedwettingstore.com. Our son was 6 and wetting every night. After 4 weeks, he was completely dry. We have had 2-3 accidents in the past 9 months since we used it.

It really works but does require a time commitment from the parents and child. You will be waking up at night to be sure your child turns off the alarm, changes to dry and resets the alarm for the first couple of weeks at least.

Have you tried a chiropractor? We know of someone who had immediate results --like that night he was dry.

Another vote her for the Malem alarm from the Bedwetting Store. We used it on my son around his 7th birthday and it worked in 2-3 weeks. He had been wet every night of his life before then. He was old enough that after a couple of nights, he was able to wake up and change himself into clothes that had been layed out for him in the bathroom. We also put a pull-up on over the underwear and alarm so that his bedding wasn't wet. It was amazing how well this worked, and he's only had 2-3 accidents in over a year since then!

As good as your child does prior to a Disney trip do not be surprised if he/she backtacks while on vacation. New places, new food, excitement et... It is normal for accidents to happen in that different environmnet. Good Luck!

Ha.....I used to wet the bed until I was pretty old. Runs in the family.
My poor parents (and sister that had to share my bed!) tried EVERYTHING. Including the alarm. I slept right through it. My dad would wake up down the hall and wake me up to change!
It didn't work for my nephew either. He's 9 now and still, very rarely, wets the bed. Of course my sister swears he doesn't do it anymore. But I can almost guarantee it will happen when he sleeps over at MY house!!

Good luck!
