Bedtime Stories....Disney references...name them here!

There so much "Disney" in that movie, I couldn't keep track. As people see the movie, maybe they can come here and list the Disney references they saw.

I have two:

Skeeter's best friend's name is "Mickey"
The owner of the hotel, his name is "Nottingham" (Robin Hood)

I have a ton more, but I will let other's list them.

We just saw this movie yesterday and loved it! Just a few we noticed,

Jill was the "little mermaid" in one scene

My dd6 swore she saw a few hidden mickeys's- but I didn't see any.

The mom's name was "wendy"

OK, I'm back. There was a reference to Goofy and The Lion King musical.

I think I may need to go see it again, just to write down all of the references.

Yeah..... I think I HAVE to do that vary soon!

This might be a stretch, but the Polynesian birthday party luau seemed like a WDW reference to me.

Ive got to ask this. Now I havent got to see the movie yet so......
We are wanting to take our kids to see this movie and last night some friends of ours said that it wasnt suitable for kids.
I thought to myself, Geez, its Disney, how bad can it be.
So can I or can I not take them?

I'm not sure what would make it not suitable for kids. It's a cute Disney movie with lot's of fantasy and action.

The kids were watching The Suite Life of Zack and Cody at the hotel, if that counts as a reference.

We saw the movie yesterday and it was GREAT. We laughed thru the whole thing.

We also took our DD9 to see it and the place was full of kids.

There wasn't anything that I thought kids should not see.

Not sure why they thought it wasn't for children. The ones with me (ages 12, 10, 9, 8) loved it. I laughed quite a bit too.

Check out the review from Common Sense Media.com. They do a good job of describing the violence, sexuality etc. in movies so you know what you're getting into.

My 4 kids liked it. But I Mickey! Both of them!

I went with 4 10yo boys and they all enjoyed it. I didn't see any reason that kids shouldn't see it

OK, I saw the movie again (still loved it!) and made a list of Disney references. Now, keep in mind that I routinely look for hidden Mickey's in my daily life, so anything can be a Disney reference to me!

In addition to those things mentioned previously (and ITA):

GOOFY was mentioned
Sir Fix-a-lot's shield had a drawing that looked similar to SIMBA (per my DH)
THE LION KING was mentioned
LARGE RED TENNIS SHOE looked like the one in "Honey, I Blew Up the Kid"
On of the hotel employee was called a TROLL (Norway????)
Skeeter was repairing a lamp that looked like the DOLPHIN resort statue
7 DWARFS: 5 dwarfs in the cart plus 2 dwarf horses; 6 dwarfs in a mini-car
Bobbie looked liked PRINCESS LEIA in the shaving cream scene
The KEYS TO THE KINGDOM were referenced
The BIKE RACE looked a lot like the bike race in the France movie
DH says he heard the music to ENCHANTED during the kiss
In the end musical set, the costumes included CINDERELLA, a PIRATE, an ADVENTURER COSTUME like in the AK, and also had a giant DINOSUAR like in the AK.

I did not see any Hidden Mickeys but I was not specifically looking for them.

What else did I miss?!?!?!?!

It's definately suitable for kids. We took our DS6 and asked Grandma to join us. We all laughed and had a great time!
