Hi all! Hoping for some help making a decision. Looking to book a villa in July. 3 kids, 6, 9 and 11. Trying to decide to book the 2 bedroom to have proper beds or save some cash and book the 1 bedroom and use the pull down/pull outs. Are the pull out beds in the 1 bedroom villa’s comfortable? The money saved could be quite useful for touring the island…

A 1BR has a king, full size pullout sofa, and a twin pull down bed. These are typical in DVC rooms. The king is fine. I’m 6 feet, 200lbs, and I fit on the twin pull down and have slept many nights comfortably. The sofa pullout has a thinner mattress and a bar going across the middle. It’s manageable, but if you are picky, it may be a problem. This has been a problem with all DVC rooms, which is why Disney is moving to replace pullout sofas with pull down Murphy beds with the solid mattress.

Ughhh I just made the switch to a 1BR from a 2BR b/c we were able to extend our stay from 3 nights to 4 nights without increasing the cost. That sucks about the pullouts, though sounds a bit random :/ Wonder if Aulani has any egg crate foamies for the top.
