Does anybody know if they got new mattresses yet? We were their last march
and didn't sleep very well because the beds were so lumpy and the kids thought the hide-a-bed was the same way. Thanks in advance...

We were there in May and had no difficulty with the beds.

No they have not started with the new beds yet.

I have my fingers crossed that it will happen before December.

I'd like to know about the sofabeds too! I believe I read last week that some had been replaced on the first floor--fact or fiction?? :confused3

We were there in August and the king bed in the 2 bedroom was like sleeping on a rock. They really do need to replace them.

That doesn't answer the question.
Perhaps I should have been clearer. I did not strip the bed to check the tag to see if it was new, but from just sleeping on it the bed was not at all lumpy as reported by the OP.

I was reading the new Vacation Magic and according to the timeline, BCV opened in 2002. It's a shame the beds are in such bad shape after only 4 years, they must not have been high quality in the first place.

Maybe it is just me but by the time i hit the bed I'm so tired the floor would be comfortable and welcomed. I've never had any issues with the beds at either BCV or BWV.

We just got back on Sunday, & they still have not started to replace them. I had to call down to the front desk to get some padding for the master bed, & they said I was 2 weeks early for the new mattresses. I do not know if they are really about to change them, but that is what they told me. Someone at the pool was saying the same thing, but he said he made them bring him up one of the new mattresses. I do not know if that was really true, but he said he got one. The extra blankets they brought for me did wonders though.

How bad are those sofa beds? I will have to stick my daughters 18 year old boyfriend on on for our next trip. He got stuck on one in Chattanooga and it was terrible, he ended up not opening it up the second night and just slept ont he sofa but I'm pretty sure that the sofa is too small to do that at BC, correct?

They are pretty bad. I don't think an adult could sleep on the sofa without opening it up.

We were just at BCV's the end of Aug. in a 2BR. DS's (both 14) plan was to take turns with the bed and sofa bed. They alternated the first 3 days and then I saw that they stopped and my son who was sleeping on the sofa bed said he was more comfortable there!! :confused3

Just so I understand your son was more comfortable on the sofa bed? I may take an inflatabe mattress with us.

I don't have experience with BCV beds, but I can tell you OKW is taking awhile to replace their sofa bed mattresses. In 2004 and 2005 we had the new mattresses on the sofas. Kids said they were comfy. This year, we were in bldg 34 and had one of the old sofa mattresses which was just dreadful. I reported it to the resort as well as emailed MS about it when we got home. I was suprised that after 2 years at least, they're all not replaced yet. Not sure how long, on average, an upgrade like this takes.

Yep! He said he was more comfortable on the sofa bed than in the regular bed. I thought he was nuts. And this is the kid who likes everything soft and cushy!

We were in a 1 bedroom at BCV for 2 nights a few days ago. The king sized bed was hard. I can sleep on pretty much anything but I did notice it was hard and DW slept terribly.
We take the mattress out of the sleeper sofa and put it on the floor and it is a little more comfortable than if you leave it in the frame.

I just got home from a BCV studio yesterday, still nothing new in bedding yet.
