Making him go potty right before bed and taking him to the bathroom in the middle of the night helped stop my son's bedwetting. The midnight bathroom runs were the deciding factor, really.

I just wanted to also say to make sure you ask for extra bedding ahead of time. My child never wet the bed at home, but unexpectedly did while on vacation and we had to call mousekeeping late at night and wait for them to bring another set of sheets. They were terrific but if I had know ahead it was a possibility I would have requested the extra set of sheets and gotten some more sleep.
