Bed Rails?

Do the WDW resorts offer bed rails? When we went in October we had a pack'n'play delivered from the hotel. It was awful! Dirty and old. I washed it with lysol clothes and it took almost all of them that I had.

DD ended up sleeping in one bed with me or DH. But I would wake up several times scared she would fall off the bed.

We are planning a return visit for May and I know she will just want to sleep in the bed again. Can you request bedrails from the front desk?

Yes, you can. Best to ask for them when you check, so they have plenty of time to get it to your room. It's been awhile, and I don't remember how they were. After that first visit though, we just pushed the bed closest to the bathroom up against the wall. It just seemed easier.

OMGOSH! We were there for 6 nights and the thought never crossed my mind!:headache:

If your bed won't move, you can also put the chairs in your room up against the bed.

We've always moved the furniture around to make sure the tots don't fall out...I didn't even think of asking for bedrails at the front desk!

Poor you. I remember worrying like that:sad2:

The bed rails I had for my kids when they were little would fold up so they could travel with us, I think it was called the Smart Guard from One Step ahead.

We stayed at Saratoga Springs in May and we had 2 bedrails sent to our room. You can put in a request for them before your trip but it is not guaranteed you will get them. The ones we had were very nice.

I just saw inflatable bedrails for travelling. I will need something because my daughter wakes up and screams every time I try to lay her in a crib or pack-n-play. Both of my kids prefer sleeping in bed over their crib.

We always request, and get, bedrails when travelling to Disney. Some of the beds are too heavy to push against a wall. The rails were fine. They were the hard plastic with the netting around them. Very much like we have at home. We always get at least 2, sometimes more.

As mentioned you may need more than 2 depending on the size of bed you have. We stayed at OKW with a king bed and the rails Disney provided were not even close to being long enough for the edge of the bed. We used 2 on one side and 2 at the bottom. The end of the bed was about 8"-10" away from the foot board. I was petrified my daughter would roll off the end of the mattress and get caught between the foot board and the mattress.

I always ask for bed rails when I make my ressie and they told me things like bed rails and pack n plays are guaranteed but high chairs and booster seats are not. The guy I talked to said they understand if they can't provide a bed for your baby you need to know that in advance.
