Since I'm going through an altering phase at the moment... figured I would make an altered caledar/planner for the auction. (since I was "uninvited" to help with the auction scrapbook unless I wanted to only use "authorised" cm products... that was actually a very entertaining conversation and I don't want anyone to get bent out of shape here, we did that last week as I recall ) I nicely said that I would be happy to offer my pictures (since I am the only one who actually has pictures) and left it at that. So, I don't want to make a scrapbook for the auction. But I"m kind of enjoying the whole altered calendar thing... bought the stuff today that I'll need and as soon as dd has left for dance... I'm altering! Can't wait! maggie

Ok, I missed something last week. This is the auction at school? The fundraiser? And they now don't want you involved because you use product "other" than CM? Not necessary to go back over old ground...but I'm just shaking my head in disbelief....

Maggie - I don't know the whole story, but I am beginning to understand some of your previous comments more. Sounds like you have some MAJOR attitudes that you're dealing with (the auction people). That really stinks! I wouldn't be contributing a thing to the auction if I were you. Good thing you seem to be bigger than I. Have fun with your calendar/planner!

I hear you on that Carrie! Guess Maggie is bigger than I am as well. For the last 4 years I've handled the check out desk at our church's student ministries auction. This year the date was set on the same Saturday as the big musical at the high school. Now granted not all of the kids who are part of the youth group attend that high school, but a vast majority do and many of them are involved as cast, crew, pit orchestra, etc along with their parents. When the date was set I mentioned this to the coordinator and while he (nor the youth pastor) liked losing all of those kids and volunteers the date wasn't changed.

And I received a pretty cool reception when I brought my certificate to do pages as a donation to the auction. Over the weekend I had further contact with folks and decided to "retrieve" that certificate. Neither of my kids are going on the trip these proceeds are helping to fund and I don't need that grief.

So Maggie girl you hang in there....you've already got me beat.
