When: October 16-24, 2010

Where: Disneyworld and Universal Studios

Who: Me, DH, DD, and DS

Why: Because it is the greatest place on Earth! Plus, MNSSHP and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

How: By way of car, 10.5 hours to be exact!

Me:

My name is Ashley and I am a 30 year old stay-at-home mom to two spirited and loving kiddos. I would describe myself as an over-thinking type A personality who has a true love for all things fun (trips to Disney being the echelon of fun!) and a true hatred for things I deem not-so-much fun (such as cleaning and cooking). I truly enjoy spending every moment I can with my kids and husband, and feel very blessed to have this life. Oh, and if you can’t tell, I also am very silly and sarcastic.

DH:

Chris, who is a hard-working chemist (on the wrong side of 35) that spends his time-off playing fantasy football, and helping me out around the house. He is a hands-on dad, which is great for me! His greatest attributes are his willingness to say yes to me, and his ability to recall vast amounts of useless information.

DD:

Chloe, my 5 year old princess. She is a little me in every way, including her bossiness and independence. She is currently taking her third year of dance and is a first year student (ya know, kindergartener). Life is never dull with her around.

DS:

Noah, my 4 year old joker. He loves to make a joke out of anything and isn’t happy until you are. He is now playing soccer for his first year and is not so sure if he likes it. He is in pre-k 4 a few times a week (which gives me my much needed free time).

Okay, so this time of year life gets busy and I haven't been doing so well keeping up here on the boards. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Now to the other reason I have been away. Well, it all starts with me and dh getting AP's and it ends with a new trip in the works. I have dreamed of being able to see the Christmas decorations, but Chris isn't able to get off during the Christmas season. I decided to check what the room only discount would be for 4 nights and at a value it was just a little over $400. So, what did I do? I called my mom and asked her if she would want to take a trip to Disney! She said yes and now my mom and I, along with the kids, are going to WDW December 18-22! I really didn't think getting to go this time of year would be a possibility, but it all fell into place. So that is what I have been busy doing, planning! Now I need to go find me a ticker! Oh, and this time I really won't tell the kids until my mom shows up. I am so excited to not only see Disney at Christmastime, but also to share it with my mom!!!!

How exciting! My dream DW vacation would be at Christmas time. Shannon would never let me take a trip to DW without him, he would be to jealous.

I have been wanting to see Disney for Christmas...but, looks like we are going to try for Halloween next year. I bet my mom would love if I called her and asked her if she wanted to do a trip with just Ashton and I. You are going to have so much fun....can't wait to hear what you have planned...

Can't think of much that would be more exciting - time with your mom and kids and being in Disney World at Christmas! I'd say that ranks as awesome!
