Beavertails?

Was wondering what these tasted like? Is it like fried dough? Does it taste like that?

Yes, they are fried dough and you can pick a variety of toppings to be smeared on them. I had maple and chocolate. They are really good, but definitely for sharing. They are big--probably 2-4 people could eat one.

Check out this link - gives you pictures and all - mighty tasty looking. I have only had one since going all of these years. Now they only open the kiosk after 3 or something like that when we went in Ocotober - not sure about our December trip.

We split one last year that had strawberries on it. This year, it's going to be a maple and chocolate for me! Mickey

We split one three ways last September. We weren't overly thrilled by them. Our local Amusement park offers a funnel cake with Strawberrys, that is much better. We were expecting much more since we had heard how great they were.

You can buy beavertails at a stand outside the Canada pavillion at the World Showcase at Epcot.

They are like fried dough. I had one last week and was disappointed. It was not fresh and not all that tasty. My daughter and I much preferred the funnel cakes (also fried dough) that you can get outisde the USA pavillion.

The ones served at the pavillion are baked in a pizza cooker! (you know the oven with a moving metal thread that you put food on). They are terrible and where is the maple dressing?

the one i had must not have been cooked. it was just a wheat pita bread with hershey syrup on it. it wasn't fried. i wouldn't get another one.

These are not for a hot day!

First of all, these are huge, as big as my size 11 foot! They are somewhat greasy or oily like a fresh made yeast raised donut if you can get them freshly made. The chocolate they use does indeed taste just like Hershey's syrup (rather than hot fudge, which is what I was expecting). The maple is extremely sweet and poured on so thick it's almost like peanutbutter. Needless to say, most of mine ended up in the trash. Too ooey, gooey, sticky, sweet, messy, greasy and BIG for me!
