Beauty & The Beast @ MGM

Hunchback was the best show we have ever seen at WDW and was one we wouldn't miss! Actually went to the park just for that show and nothing else. The cast were true professionals !

B&B is just a high school production with good costumes. We don't waste our time anymore. It has been there forever and it needs a change.

ps Tinkbell I agree with lighting. Last time we went (because little nieces had to see it) I tried to tape for them. My video had a weird yellow & pink tint to it and I thought it was my camera until the rest of the video was fine.

I always enjoyed the Hunchback show. Once during a torrential rain storm at MGM we just sat there through one show and waited for the next one. It was very good, I have seen Beaty and the Beast twice and enjoyed it very much both times. Like anything else with live performers, some are better then others. I intend to see Beauty again in July. I remember e-mailing Disney with my dissapointment when Hunchback closed. I actually got a reply! Sad to hear though that the stage is now just uused for storage. :sad2:

So sorry you didn't care for it. Beauty & the Beast is one of my favorites in WDW. It ties with Festival of the Lion King at Animal Kingdom.

We loved it! However, if someone isn't familiar with the whole show, I could see the disappointment. They do leave several holes in the plot. But I don't think my 4 year old would be able to sit through the entire 2.5 hour full length broadway musical. Plus, I wouldn't want to spend that much park time in a show. I really enjoyed the 30 minute abbreviated version. We were in the second row and I am quite sure the singing was real and not lip sync.

My sisters friend (My sister was Mrs. Arkansas America, she was Mrs. Florida America) plays Belle a few days a week at the BatB show. I know she sings live. I'm not sure of the other dancer/singers but I know the main characters are singing - which, wow, what a talent to do that all day. I do agree, this is maybe a one time a trip show, maybe every two or three trips. :cutie:

We saw this last week and enjoyed it. Definitely not Broadway, but perfect for my two dds. They loved it!

We don't even go to MGM every WDW visit, and we don't go to B and the B show each MGM visit, but we do enjoy it. We enjoyed the Hunchback show as well, and are sorry it's gone.
