My daughter, 13, auditioned and was given the role of Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast Jr. at her middle school. Is there any chance that at Beauty and the Beast at Hollywood Studios we could get her picture with Mrs. Potts? After the performance?

Normally not.

However, during the show, there is a show producer/manager working in the tech booth
who will be sitting next to the audio and lighting operators.
The booth is in the open in the upper center of the audience seating.
Arrive at least 30 minutes before show-time and choose a seat very close to that booth.
(We like to sit in the row of seats directly behind it, so I can watch the tech crew do their thing.)
Right after the show, nicely get the attention of the producer/manager and make your request of the photo to her/him.

Be prepared to be turned down, but you never know until you ask.

Thank you for the reply! It's always worth a try!

I would do what Robo suggests, but I think that it is very unlikely that you will get the photo. The performers have several shows a day to perform, and I doubt they have much time for M&Gs, etc., unless there was something special prearranged. I could be wrong though.

Agree, probably not but ............ I would ask to speak to someone before the show. By time you talk to someone at end, even if they were to check with the performer it's likely they are out of costume and sitting with their feet up already. Long story short, we went backstage after the Hunchback show for my DS to meet Quasimodo. I spoke to a CM prior to the show even letting us in the theater. She disappeared for what seemed forever but returned and said that he agreed to meet him after. I think if it's not prearranged it would be difficult.

**Note, my DS has special needs and am sure it came into play.

The last time I was there (December 2013) there was a little girl who had been to the Boutique and was fabulously decked out in a Belle costume with hair and glitter make-up, etc. She was sitting in either the first or second row. I do not know this for a fact, but I assumed that her parents had made a pre-arrangement to have her photo taken with Belle after the show, or some other arrangement was made, but I do know the stage producer made a big deal about her prior to the show, presented her with flowers, and had the audience applauding in conjunction with Belle on stage standing in photo opportunities after the show.

Again, I wasn't part of the arrangements, but did actually see the girl getting special attention, so what you are hoping will happen is not completely out of the realm of possibility. I would guess it might have something to do with how early you arrive, and most importantly who the production manager is that day.

Good luck!! pixiedust:
