Beat Cancer now time to get back to normal.

Hi Everyone. Long time Lurker, First time poster. I just wanted to tell everyone how excited I am to be going to WDW on Sunday for a week at AKV.

We had planned this trip back in January but a week before the trip I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Non classic Seminoma. After a couple of major surgeries and chemo I seemed to be getting back on track. But in the middle of the summer we had another finding and another surgery. I just had my first post chemo checkup with the oncologist and he says Im all clear.

After getting the news we called our DVC person and rebooked the trip. Im still not in the shape I would like to be going and walking around the parks but just to be on my feet is a blessing.

Even though Im getting healthier everyday I still have a bit of depression. Cant think of any better place to not feel sad than at WDW watching my 2 & 9 yr old boys enjoying themselves.

Just wanted to share a little of my story and tell everyone how happy I am to be able to enjoy the Mouse with my kids after going through what we went through this year...

So happy for you! I know exactly what you're talking about! I just finished treatment for breast cancer and we are heading to Disney in a couple of months.

congrats....I am taking hormonal therapy for a recurrence of BC and going and also concerned about being tired with grandaughter, but I will be in DW and she will understand as your family will....have fun!!!
