I haven't been able to return to the parks in over a year (live in Seattle). Have an upcoming trip in December and was wondering if Beast's Library and Ursula's Grotto survived the transformation of the Animation Academy into the Frozen M&G. I know they took the Toy Story zeotrope out (which I always thought was pretty cool).

They're still there! I love that building so much. I was a little bummed when the Frozen stuff was put in there since it was my quiet place, but hopefully it's calmed down a little by now.

The Beast's Library is still there, but the area just beyond that was transformed into dressing rooms for the sisters. So, no more recordings and other stuff.

What is Ursela's Grotto?

Yeah, sadly the grotto area is blocked off, you have to turn around at the Beast's Library. I am really disappointed by this, doing the recordings was one of the highlights of the trip for my family, it was so much fun!

I know the feeling. I used to love going in there and relaxing with those big screens and great music. I loved it. But we were there two weeks ago and it was pretty busy in there. The Frozen M&G has turned it into a busy place. But that's to be expected. It was just too big of a space to stay empty all of the time. I've actually enjoyed the two times I've waited with the kids to see Anna and Elsa - very nice way to spend 15-20 in line.

Where is Beast's library? I would love to see it

At the back of the big main "lobby" of the Animation building, there is a a ramp that goes from left to right slightly downward. Follow that and it will take you there. Beast's Library is a great afternoon activity when things get hot and crowded outside.

Oh man! I wish I had known that was there. We spent a lot of time in that building in December on a rainy day. We noticed the ramp but didn't take it down. Maybe it was roped off. So sad. I'll check it out this time

Our family loved Ariel's Grotto, too! The Beast's Library is one of my favorite places in the parks, though. Do you think Ariel's Grotto might come back after the Frozen hype dies down?

How did I not know there was all of this stuff hidden in the Animation Academy? We've gone in a couple of times, but never gone back to where it's apparently located. I'm definitely checking this out tomorrow!
