Bears Fans: Jay Cutler Why does everyone hate him?

I have not seen where any of his teammates have questioned his injury. Could you please share links? I have read the comments form other players in the league, none of whom are probably his friends anyways.

Me neither. The Bears, and apparently a few Packers too, have been quite vocal in their support.

So far the comments I read were from guys who watched the playoffs from their couches.

Packers have defended him more than Bears, which I find funny.

I have no problem with Cutler. All season I said that the best thing that could happen to the Bears is for Cutler to get taken out and replaced... was I wrong? As a Packer fan we would have loved for him to stay in the whole game- might have lead to a shutout!!

Anyways, I still believe in being 100% loyal to your team and I think this shows a lot of true character in bears fans. Considering I live in IL, all I've heard is blame (refs / the field-ironic?), Lovie and Cutler-bashing. I would never in a million years talk about the Pack in that way. It's a loss, a big one, but just another loss- suck it up and take that momentum into the ProBowl and next season.

Packer fans have no problem spreading the blame around when the Bears beat them.

As for the field, that's nothing new. The Bears have been complaining about it for a long time. The Chicago Park District owns Solider Field.

Bears fans are fickle. They hate him when he throws 4 picks in a single game (twice). Right now they think he's pretty gutty and they are on his bandwagon.

Sitting here in Colorado, with the second-worst record in the NFL, I wish we had him (and all the other talent we ran off) back on the squad...

I wish we had him........sitting here in NC with the worst record in the NFL. I want anyone but Clausen as QB next season!

Yes, I believe in true loyalty too. We are PSL/season ticket owners for our Carolina Panthers. I did not miss a game. Yes, we had the worst record in the NFL this season, but I cheered them on each game. I am a true, blue loyal fan!
I still hope we will have another QB, though. ;)

For you Denver fans, I think you will like Fox. He might not be the liveliest coach.........he is just a plain, level coach. Our fans called him "vanilla"...just sort of average. However, he is a nice guy. Our players loved him. That says a lot.

Some players are media darlings, born to be on camera and interviews, some are not. Some players are characters (our '85 team was 100% characters, that is why they continue to this day to be as popular as they were and remain to be), some are not. If a player is not a media darling, nor a character, and in the limelight/spotlight, as any QB is, the media will drive him into the ground, if they can.

Dan, our Panthers just hired a new coach (replacing John Fox who went to the Broncos). Our new coach, Ron Rivera, is from your '85 Bears team. He sounds great in his press conferences. I have liked his new hires as assistant coaches. I am hoping for a better upcoming season. We were ranked worst in the NFL this past season so any improvement will be better. :thumbsup2

after thinking about it, I guess I think Lovie Smith or the trainers/organization are more to blame on the heat Cutler is taking. During 1/2 time they obviously knew he was very questionable, odds were he was not going to last. They should have had him icing it, crutches, anything viual on the sideline that would have supported their decision to pull him. Since they did not, it looks to the general crowd that Cutler pulled himself leaving a bad taste . Cutler is the Quarterback, yes, but I think the Coach kinda messed up a bit her e as well. No announcement as to what was going on...for a while..it just all led to Cutler taking the heat. Again, I am not a Bears fan so no loyalty to Cutler, but in general the whole situation was kinda odd.
