Ok I was watching a show that was done about bear hunting in Wisconsin and they are trying to make it so hunters do not take the females in the spring. Problem is the females are not marked or taged and in most cases when they come to the baited area they do so without the cubs to check it out first. SO my question is should they tag or mark the females or try to move the hunt to a later time of the season/year so as to not upset the population of females and cube etc.
I feel if they want to make it safe soto speak for the females they should trank them and tag them in a nature so as the hunters would know it was a female thus they will lessen the chance of killing a female with cubs.
