Oh dear, I am so sorry to hear about your uncle. Glad things worked out for you to be able to attend the funeral, though. Funerals are always sad, of course, but in my experience being able to go is healing, in a way. And it's good to be together as a family at that time, too.

Love the pics of Izzy at Crystal Palace. Such great character interaction! I'm a little jealous, too, of parents whose kiddos adore the characters. It looks like so much fun! But I'm pretty sure we'd be looking at a huge meltdown if any large, furry people-sized creatures came within ten feet of my little guy, so no character meals for us, sadly. At least I get to live vicariously through yours! Thanks for that

Your MK early morning looks like so much fun! Love entering before the park opens as you know! haha. Loved the walking up to the castle pics (and the jumping over the tracks afterwards!). CP was so cute, so fun to see how great she interacts with everyone!! Odd that Aria isn't as fond of Tigger as the rest, too? Maybe the bright orange or something? no idea! Funny though. Looking forward to reading more!

I got a bit behind with everything we have had going on, but I'm caught up now. Love the CP breakfast! It seems to be a pretty consistent hit with little ones on their first trips!

And I agree. Just buy a travel high chair once you're there. Or honestly, she may be ok sitting on a real seat for a few days when you're at the hotel. Idk. Maybe Caden is just now hitting that point. I can't remember when we started that.

I don't think she could sit in a real seat yet. She's obsessed with standing up in high chairs lately, so I'm sure she'd just jump out. In the hotel, maybe that's okay, though. At any rate, my cousins have a hook-on high chair they said we can borrow, so that should work. Otherwise, looks like Target has our travel high chair on sale this week, so we could always buy another one there and donate it to one of my cousins with a newborn when we leave. Oh, yeah, and the 1 PnP...the gal on the phone told me they used to have more, but she didn't know what happened to them.

You are right about the healing and togetherness. That's why we wanted to try to be there, if we could. I think my cousins need all the family support they can get right now.

Thanks. Aw, that's too bad that your little guy wouldn't like the characters. You've got some time, though, so maybe he'll change his mind. I've seen that happen with other kids in TRs (like Imagineer5's, below). I do think the giant teddy bear my in-laws got Izzy at a young age probably helped her, though. She loves huge animals now.

Thanks for the idea on the walking up to the castle pictures! I kind of love the picture of her raising her hands on the tracks - looks like a toddler victory (with a castle in the background). Crystal Palace was so fun. She was in such a great character encounter mood that morning. But, yeah, Tigger - I don't know what's up with that. Maybe he's more intimidating?

So, as you may recall, we had finished our meal and seen all of the characters at Crystal Palace. However, we wanted to wait for Pooh to come around again (he was first in our rotation), since my video didn’t record. We’d gotten Izzy cleaned up and out of her high chair, since she was ready to get out. However, I guess she grabbed her food pouch that must not have been finished yet and she was working on that while sitting on my lap.

We expected Pooh to be the next character, but instead, we saw Piglet making the rounds. Well, okay, we’ll meet him again, sure, but we’re really here for Pooh. Or so we thought. Turns out that Izzy had suddenly sprouted an all-encompassing love for Piglet and his uber-kissable piggy nose. Not enough to put down her food pouch, of course, but whoa! I’ll let the pictures and video speak for themselves (though, you’ll hear a lot of me in the video, since she was on my lap…which is very hard to get a good video from that short distance, by the way):

Couldn't have said it better myself! She was okay with Piglet on the first go-round, but was just so in love with him the second time. So adorable. I hope Landon had some magical moments on your trip!

Well, what can I even say? If you follow Imagineer5's TR, you already know this. If not, the summary:

*She has an Annual Pass.

*Annual Passes are known for enticing Disney-lovers into spontaneous "cheap" trips.

*The Mine Train is opening soon.

*Point 1+Point 2+Point 3 = She is going to WDW in June to ride the Mine Train.

But, add to that:

*Her husband didn't want to go.

*She has a 2-year-old daughter that she didn't want to leave behind.

*Her daughter is too short for the Mine Train and cannot be left alone while she rides it.

SO, clearly, the only solution was for me to offer up Izzy and I as travel companions so that she could ride. And I could ride. And go to WDW.

Izzy still flies free, so I got one plane ticket. Car is free on her points. Resort is cheaper than a Value (offsite, but right by AKL - and 2 bedrooms). She has Tables in Wonderland. I have discounted WDW Gift Cards from Target. I got a 3-day PH ticket for now, but may upgrade it to an AP if Dug and I decide our next trip will be within that window.

So, in summary, I'm going to WDW in less than 3 weeks with someone I've only met on the internet. And we'll watch each-others' adorable toddlers while going on rides. Yep, I'm not crazy AT ALL. No, I'm sure things will be great and I'm fairly confident that she will not steal Izzy or any such nonsense.

Even though it's only been 6 months, Izzy has changed a lot and it will be a whole new experience. Should be a lot of fun!
