Bear Country and Wildlife Expedition in Ketchikan

Has anyone done the this tour? Did you see many bears in mid July?

We did this tour through DCL in August of 2012. I couldn't seem to find any notes I had, but we loved it and would do it again! We saw a lot of bears very close up, including a mama and her cubs about 10 feet away!

I know it's not the same tour, but if you want to see bears, the Neets Bay Bear Watch by Floatplane was awesome! The flight back was a bit rocky but my hubby said that is completely normal so if you don't mind flying (and the hefty price tag) I'd highly recommend it! I got some amazing shots of a bear who was only about 10ft away munching on some salmon!

While not mid July, we did this the first week of September last year and it was absolutely amazing. We saw 18 different bears, which the guide said was the most they had seen all season. We even saw some babies, and younger bears.
