Bean Bag Chairs

My boys love theirs... my mom bought them for them from Pottery Barn Kids. They were a little pricey, but I have to say they have really stood up to a lot of abuse and the cover washes really well. They are denim with their names embroidered on them and we have had them for 3 years now.

We have the PBK ones too. Love them!! If your kid's going to get a lot of use out of it, I think it's worth spending the money. Shoot, dh and I might use them after the kids grow up and move out!

We have one from the Foof store. We first saw one when we were in the hospital with my son for a week - they had a kids play area that had this giant, family sized bean bag. He loved it, and would always curl up with one of us for a story or such. When we got home, we decided to buy one. Our is about 5ft round, and was about $250. It was totally worth every penny. My husband uses it all the time, I would if I could pry him out of it. Actually, we can both climb in to watch a movie. My son still loves to curl up in it, especially when he's tired, not feeling well, etc.

We are HUGE Foof chair folks, too! We must have the same one - DH hates it because it takes up so much room, but it is now in DD12s room and every afternoon, there are three 7th graders sprawled out on it doing homework! These are totally the best! LIke that it is foam inside, not lumpy, mushy pellets.

I bought this video bean bag chair for my DS13 for xmas. It was $20, now is up to $30. He loves it, says its very comfortable.

We bought a "bean bag" from Love Sac. (lovesac.com). It's really not beans inside. I don't know what it is. It is really comfortable. It's much more than a bean bag. They aren't cheap, but they will last forever.

We bought our son a FatBoy from a local furniture store. Its more of a rectangle, but is very versatile as far as shapes it can become. My dh uses it a lot as a bean bag recliner while watching tv. In fact we should have bought 2 because they always try to be the first to the FatBoy. They are pricey, but we got a pretty good discount and it was worth it.

When I was a kid, my mom just used the styrofoam packing peanuts to add more fill to our beanbag!!! If I remember correctly, it worked just fine.
