We gave Beak & Barrel another shot.
Our first experience was ok, worst part was we missed most of "the show aspects" because we were seated in a far corner and would have had to get up and move around to see them. We were seated with another couple and had great conversation.
We tried again this week and were amazed at how they were trying to jam so many people into the booths. Having been there already, we understood and had no problem being seated with another party. This was extreme. There were several large parties already packed into booths, people were basically sitting on each other. They would they try to add others to the table at the seats on the end of the booth. We were sat with a group of at least eight people jammed in the booth, they looked uncomfortable how they were arranged, and we asked to be re-seated. We went back outside and were seated after a few minutes. We witnessed several other ask to be reassigned after trying to be jammed into already crowded booths. They tried to sit a family with two small children at the booth we were originally assigned to.
As I previously said, I understand how the system works and have no problem with it. I think their system needs to find a balance between maximizing the profit/turnover and maintaining a pleasurable experience, jamming ten-12 people into a booth is ridiculous.
