We rented a three bedroom two bath condo through Beachtree villas online for the week of August 2-9, 2008. It cost about $80 (I think it was right at 80 with taxes cleaning fees and all) a night with AAA and a promotion they were running.
The unit was actually in the Sweetwater Club condo development. The unit was nice size (over 1200 sq. ft.) and well furnished. The living room contained two sofas, an entertainment center with 27" television several lamps and end tables and was rather large. The open floor plan was very nice and the living room flowed into the dining area which consisted of a glass dining table and decent chairs.
The kitchen was next and it was fairly good sized with a breakfast bar area, but no stools to use. It had a decent size pantry, full size refrigerator freezer with ice maker, dishwasher, range, and microwave. The appliances were probably several years old but in very good shape and clean! The kitchen included one roll of paper towels, so trash bags, pots, pans, dishes, and utensils. We never ran out of clean dishes in the course of a week there and we never washed until the last day (they did include dishwasher detergent).
The bedrooms were all nice and fairly good sized. One was a master with Queen bed, television, two dressers, a walk in closet, and a connected bathroom. The bathroom had a large shower, but the shower had a frosted window that did little to hide your outline if you showered at night. We covered ours with a towel when we showered at night.
The other two bedrooms both had large closets and storage. One was a queen and the other was two twins.
The unit also included a washer and dryer (you had to provide your own laundry detergent etc). Both were a little older but worked just fine and were a blessing given the number of times we changed clothes due to the heat.
The complex included a small swimming pool, clubhouse, and tennis courts. All seemed to be in good shape and reasonably well maintained. The area was clean and the neighborhood seemed fine.
The location was off Siesta Lago off 192. It was about a 10-15 minute drive to any of the parks and traffic was never bad headed to rope drop or home in the afternoon or evening. It was also very close to shopping (target, walmart, staples, and groceries are all pretty close).
All in all it was a very good location and a good rental for us. I basically described it as hotel level accommodations (none of the furniture, carpet, tv's, etc were fancy but all were functional) with a WHOLE LOT more room! We would rent from them again when we went to WDW.
Just thought I would give my report since I did not see it mentioned too often over the past few years.
