Beaches Resort- Turks & Caicos

Hi Everyone- Considering Beaches in Turks & Caicos resort vacation w/my daughter & 3 year old GS, just the three of us, any reviews?? Also any suggestions on the room selections. Expensive vacation, want to make sure its worth the $$- Anyone been? Would you go back? How does it differ from Disney vacation with a toddler? Disney is really the only place we have taken him before, kind of nervous about!

I went years ago with a 2 and 4 year old, and it was awesome! Stay in the French Quarter (by the big pool) - we had a suite that was too far from the action. We also used the nursery, and private babysitting services. I know we'll never get back there, with 5 children - it was so expensive just bringing 2!

So would you recommend getting a room in the "Main" hotel? those are much more reasonable, that's where I was planning on - figured how much time are we really gonna spend in the room. Is the main hotel closer to the "action"? Tell me more about the resort and activities please!

I don't think so - on their hotel map, sections 12 - 19. We were at the complete opposite end, so we hauled ourselves over there a lot. However, if there is a significant savings, don't worry about it. The only issue I remember was not wanting to be close to the pool in the middle of the resort? Find out where the DJ and games are, as well as any loud nightlife.

Booked it!!!! So excited. Can anyone tell me what I should pack? Do I need jeans/light jacket for evenings? Do I need anything dressy? Usually flip flops are as dressy as I go on vacation- Please tell me anything I might need to know about the place PLEASE!

Are you going during a holiday? If so, you need to get to the beach very early to get a chair and some shade. When we were there, they were gone by 8 am! Hard with a toddler.

Food was very mixed - but we all loved breakfast. So we would eat a very big breakfast in the main hotel. We also all loved the swim up bars. They have great smoothies for the kids and other beverages for adults.

My DS was three at the time - and we all loved snorkeling. We brought him a mask and he would hold on to us and look under the water and come up for air. He is very comfortable in the water and loved the "fish parties" he would watch.

DH and I only used the childcare for when we went diving, for about an hour. DS thought it was okay - but was much happier with us.

We had lots of fun but I felt it was WAY overpriced for what we got. There are other places we have liked more. But you will have fun.
