Beaches near DLR for 1 day trip

Can someone recommend me some Beaches that are closer to DLR for a 1 day trip with my DD7?

Newport beach - about 30 minutes
I also think Huntington is closer but we enjoyed Newport. If you can drive a little further you could hit Laguna.

This. They are both nice beaches but I like Newport better.
