Right now I have an ADR for Tutto Italia at Epcot for dinner. I was thinking that instead maybe I would like to eat at Beaches N Cream, check out the resort to see if we ever would want to stay there, then walk to Epcot for Illuminations.

Is this doable? I assume they have a place to check your tickets or does the walkway take you to the main entrance? It is a short walk right? Can I spend the day at Epcot and walk to Beaches N Cream then back to Epcot?

You go in/out through the International Gateway exit/entrance in Epcot World Showcase. It's about a 5 minute walk to Beach n Cream @ Beach Club.

Yep you can do that! :thumbsup2 You would take the back entrance into WS. You can walk it which takes about 5 mins or you can take the boat which would take a little longer. The back entrance has turnstiles for tickets just like the front.

Yes, it's very doable, we have done just that very think, my DH, DS, DD, and I DW love Beaches and Cream! :yay:

CR Resort Fan 4 Life makes a great point. Every time we try to eat there the wait is about an hour and they don't take ADRs. You could try for a very early dinner, around 4ish, to avoid the wait or just build enough time into your plan to make sure you finish dinner in time to make IllumiNations.

The Boardwalk area is great and it's worth taking some time to explore it. If you have a free night, try Jellyrolls.

Have a great trip.

Absolutely!! As others have said it's about a 5 minute walk. We were there in Nov. and although we didn't go into Epcot when we visited Beaches N Cream, we could very easily see the World Showcase as we were walking across the bridge heading back over to the Boardwalk. It's amazing how close some of the resorts are to the parks but are hidden so cleverly with landscaping. We've walked right past the path that goes to the Yacht club/Boardwalk and never even knew it was there, much less how close it was.

I forgot to mention the first time my family and I went to Beaches & Cream was in August 2010 and we waited about 20 - 25 minutes for a table. The time we arrived there was just after 9:00 PM.

However the second time we went there in December 2010 we walked right in at 8:30 PM and didn't have to wait for a table, so sometimes you might be lucky and not wait.

If you use the boat service from BW or BC to Epcot where does it place you? I asking which countries will you be close to. B&C has a limited menu for dinner. We had hamburgers fries and ice cream and it was very good.

It takes you to the International Gateway, not INSIDE World Showcase. But you would be closest to France & the UK.

When taking the boats from Epcot to the Epcot Resort they are located at the International Gateway and it's just past the United Kingdom Pavilion. Now the order from there which the boats go is to the Boardwalk, Yacht Club/Beach Club, Swan/Dolphin and Hollywood Studios. However I personally think if you are planning on going to the Boardwalk or Beach Club it's a lot faster to walk towards either resort.

Are the burgers and fries at Beaches and Cream any different from those at Hurricane Hannah's CS?

I have never been to Hurricane Hannah's, however I can tell you the Burger and Fries at Beaches & Cream is a lot better then any other counter service location I been to that sells those items.

The cheeseburger at Hurricane Hannah's is advertised as the B&C burger.

From AllEars.net
Beaches Signature Angus Cheeseburger - served with choice of French Fries or Cabbage Slaw $8.29

The menu looks great, but we have never eaten there. I have wondered how close it is to EPCOT, so it's good to know it's only a 5 minute walk. I saw where it is on the DDP but is listed as a Table Service. The menu items didn't look very expensive. I'm surprised it's not a Counter Service. Is it worth the Table Service credit?

I was just searching for the answer to this myself! So glad to have found this thread. :thumbsup2 So there is a ticket "booth" at that walkway to get back in once you get out? Or do you have to go back to the front of EPCOT?

No, the prices make it definitely not worth a Table Service credit.
You do have a server, and my thought has always been that they don't make it a Counter Service place because then it would always be even more impossible to get a table. But of course that's just my guess and it doesn't really matter.
