Can someone explain what makes Beaches & Cream a Table service credit? It is listed on the Disney website in the Quick Service Dining list but on the Dining plan brochure as TS. I looked at the price per entree and don't get it. It seems like an awful waste of a TS credit. :confused3

I believe it's because there are tables, you sit, and a waitress will take your order. We stayed at the BC last October and went there for ice cream and to check it out. We used our snack credits for the ice cream and didn't eat inside. I do agree that I don't feel it is worth a TS credit so if we were ever to eat there, I would just pay that meal OOP. I know a lot of folks who love their burgers and I would like to try it someday. I just won't waste a TS credit for a typical burger place...JMO.

Because it's a table service restaurant. I mean, it's not quick service. Price doesn't matter when it comes to how it is defined... only the TYPE of restaurant.

If you don't think it's worth it, then don't eat there. If you want to, use a credit or pay out of pocket.

This is one reason I don't like the dining plans. They force you to eat a specific way to get the "most" out of them.

You are assigned a table (or counter seat in the case of B&C), a server takes your order and brings you the food. That's a table service. The cost or type of food doesnt enter into it.

If B&C is listed as a counter service restaurant anywhere, it's an error.

We always enjoy a meal at the BC! It is a table service like others have said, it is a fun spot! We enjoy the ice cream!!!!:goodvibes

It is a waste on the dining plan for more reasons than one. First is the low per-credit value, second is the fact that they're a restaurant that consistently does not allow sharing on the DDP so everyone has to use a credit even though an entree & dessert there are far more food than most people can eat.

We plan on going there OOP this trip, not because we don't have the DDP credits to cover it but because we want to share burgers/sandwiches so we actually have room to enjoy dessert.

Yeah, we took it as an opportunity to say okay, let's spend 2 TS credits to eat at the Yachtsman, and then because we'll be one TS credit short for one day, we'll pay OOP to eat at Beaches and Cream. Works out very well for us since we both want to eat there but also want to enjoy the Yachtsman on our DP. :)
