I'll be staying one night at the Swan but was thinking of boating over to Beaches and Cream for dinner thinking the kids (4&6) would like it there. How are the kiddie burgers? If they aren't the greatest, I was thinking of ordering a double and an extra bun to share with one of my kids (the other doesn't do burgers). Would that be allowed? Also, do they do PS there? PS needed? Thanks!

I don't know about the kiddie burgers but I do know that they don't take PS's. It's a first come first serve basis and it can get very crowded. The place is really small. They have a take out line too. The onion rings are great and of course the ice cream. It's a fun place to go, soda fountains from the 50's kind of place.

We don't have kids so I can't answer your question specifically. However, I will say that we adults, me and DH, love Beaches & Cream. Best burgers on the property. Fresh bread. Yummy ice cream and a great atmosphere. It is indeed first come first served - but we've never waited more than 15 minutes.

We are looking forward to trying Beaches & Cream for an early lunch on an MGM day - does anyone know what time it opens for lunch? TIA! :)

Don't know about ordering an extra bun, but when we were there in May, my DH ordered the double cheese burger and I just took one of the patties out and ate that - I didn't want the bun. There was no problem with doing that and the waitress brought me an extra plate. Since they don't take PS, I'd recommend going a bit earlier than normal dinner hours - especially with young children as the wait can be really long. We went at 5pm and were seated immediately at the last table. Jo

We just returned 2 weeks ago and B&C is our favorite place to eat!!

I believe they are open from 11 to 11pm.

This time, Ds's always split a meal and the server cut the burger in half and served the meal on separate plates. The servers are very friendly (they remembered us from last year) and asked most times if we wanted the food divided.

We used to get the extra bun, but my sons arent big bread eaters, so half a bun is enough for them.

It is very small, there are only 3 booths that seat a close 6 and I believe 8 tables. There is also counter seating.

It is very nicely themed and the desserts and shakes are very good. Our new favorite is the hot dog with chili and cheese. Easily the best hot dog I've ever had.

No Ps's, and the wait can sometimes be 30 to 45 min. The arcade is right next door if you have to wait.

The burgers are very good and yes they will split a burger between 2 people and even give each person their own plate of fries. The only problem I've had is that the burgers are very juicy and the bottom bun falls apart before you are finished eating.

You mentioned boating over? You may find it way faster just to walk. Those hotels are so close together and the boat docking and undocling would take longer than just walking.
