So that food picture thread made us decide to hit Beaches and Cream during our upcoming trip. Is there a best time to go there? Easiest way to find it?(we're not familiar with the Beach Club area at all) If we were to do takeout, is there a place to sit, or are we better off eating there? I've read it gets busy, so how would we best beat the crowds? Any tips from the experts?

We've never had more than a 10 minute wait for a table. Go at off peak times. Don't go at noon for lunch or 7pm for dinner. I don't think they do take-out for anything but the ice cream. At least that's what it looks like in the take-out line.

If you are in Epcot. Go to the International Gateway. You can either take the boat over to Beach Club or walk. Beaches and Cream is right by Stormalong Bay. If you are at MGM, take the boat to Beach Club.

It may have been because of the crowds at Easter, but they were doing takeout food in addition to ice cream. Definitely, go at off peak times. We went on Easter and waited 25 minutes for take out ice cream. Tables were a 60 minute wait. If you decide on carryout, you have to place your order in one line and then move to another line to pick it up. They do have several tables outside for customers to enjoy their food.

I'm pretty sure that they do takeout on all their food, not just the ice cream. There are tables just outside the restaurant, though only a handful of them. As others said avoid 'meal' times. When you approach Beach Club from the water, you can either go into the lobby and then just head left and stick to the outside of the building, or before you get into the lobby, just turn left and follow the outside of the building. You'll see it about midway through the pool area. There's an arcade just past it. Enjoy!

Thanks for your responses! Is 4 or 4:30 considered "meal time"?
And are the meals usually big enough for splitting? Have to have room for ice cream

We usually go between 3 and 4. It really depends on your appetite. Our burgers came with fries (but fries were just ok) so we had room for ice cream. Speaking of fries, The Dolphin Fountain at the Dolphin Hotel has really good curly fries!!

Beaches and Cream is fine if you are staying at the Yacht and Beach Club or are at the resort on other business. I don't think its anything that special worth going out of the way for unless you are looking for an ice cream dessert, banana split, sundae, the kitchen sink, then I can understand going there. For a burger and fries or their choices for breakfast? I wouldn't bother.

I disagree. I think it's worth a special trip over. They have the best burgers and onion rings on property! DD-14 and I split meals so we can have dessert. The desserts are HUGE. I think 4-4:30 would be a good time to go.

I agree. It's a nice place in a beautiful location. We had dinner at Shula's which was great, but still went to Beaches and Cream for dessert. We love getting a burger or chicken sandwich in the afternoon and sitting outside (and the onion rings are so good). There is just something so special about the boardwalk area.

We loved the burgers and onion rings!! DH had a root beer float that he still raves about. Ice cream comes in large amounts. One scoop was like 3 at Baskin Robbins.

Our last trip we went at 11:15 and by 11:45 it was packed with a 20 min. wait. The deserts are so good and really big easily enough for 2.This time we will be staying at AkL the end of April and we like B&C so much we will be making a special trip. We will probably walk over on our way out of epcot.
