We want to eat here for lunch one day. My DH and I will be out of TS credits, but my two sons and my parents will still have some, and we've all been wanting to try B and C. (I know it's not the BEST way to get a TS credit, but we don't really care about maximizing every single meal).

My two questions are:

What is considered an appetizer here- fries? Onion rings? Soup? Small salad?

Dessert- do you think that my two sons, and my parents can order ONE kitchen sink to split for the table, instead of 4 individual desserts? We think it would be fun for the kids to see one of these!

Thanks!

When we went in Sept. dh got a salad and I got the onion rings for an appetizer. I don't think you can get the kitchen sink on the dining plan.

BTW we love beaches and cream! It is one of our favorite restaurants at Disney! We love the No Way Jose :goodvibes

OK, thanks for the clarification on the kitchen sink. It makes sense since it is a $20 dessert. It still might be fun to order it just for the heck of it and pay OOP.

Are your sons children or adults on the plan? We ate at B&C in December (not on the dining plan) and they had the standardized kids meals that most of the TS restaurants had. I think that the kids dessert was just a cookie because I remember thinking it was weird since it is an ice cream place! I'm not sure exactly, but it was something we had to have subsituted because my DD has an egg allergy. Of course, the way they've been changing the kids meals around in the last couple of months, it may have changed since then.

Oh no, are you kidding me? They don't just have the hot dogs and burgers for kids too? This sucks. I'm sorry, but it does. We purposely chose most of our TSs at restaurants where the kids would have a buffet choice, or at one where I know they would have food they liked....I thought surely B and C would serve hot dogs/burgers since that's pretty much all they serve for adults. Sigh. Well, maybe I will pay OOP for my oldest, he's 9, and let my DD who is 2 have his meal. And then my 5 year old can split my hot dog or something. This is just silly. And just a cookie for dessert? Not even a scoop of ice cream?

Thank you for letting me know- I sure hope things are changed by this time next month....:sad2:

I'm not sure what they had for the entrees for kids. I would hope that they would have something like a kids burger or hot dog, but I really can't remember that. My DD had a grilled cheese and probably fruit salad. It was served on a big Mickey head shaped plate with the "appetizer" on one ear and the cookie on the other.

We managed to be able to get DD a scoop of ice cream because she is allergic to eggs and couldn't have the cookie, but I remember that it was sort of a big deal which leads me to believe that ice cream wasn't on the normal kids menu. (We have to talk to the chef because of the allergy and he is the one who said we could have ice cream for her dessert...we had to explain that to/remind our server about that).

There seem to have been a lot of changes in the last few months, so there very well could be ice cream available now for the kids meal (I hope...you can get a scoop of ice cream as a kids dessert everywhere else...). Have you seen the kids menu sticky on the main restaurant page? There are scanned in kids menus from the last few months, but I checked and there was no B&C.

We surprised our daughters with the Kitchen Sink in Oct. They knew what it was but also knew it wasn't included in the DDP so therefore, we weren't getting it. SURPRISE!! The look on their faces is priceless - my camera actually caught it! :) Your family would all enjoy it as well since they blink the lights and make a big announcement about it!
