Beaches and cream

We were just there for our 2nd trip and this time we sat at the counter because there were open seats available when we arrived. Not too many people actually sat at the counter during our visit. It was fun to watch the workers prepare the food especially the desserts. Serves was not slow everyone one was on top of everything. I can't believe how much ice cream they go through. During our visit, there was one guy that all he did was change out ice cream containors and whip cream cans. He must have made at least 4 trips in the short amount of time we were there.

Another one that wouldn't go out of my way.

The burgers we had were better than the park burgers, but I've had better burgers on property (Sci Fi for one). And I agree that the ice cream is better at Ghiradelli.

Its small, we waited 20 minutes for a table at 3 in the afternoon. And service was horrible - no one was clearing tables or we'd have been seated five minutes earlier - than we waited five minutes after seating before anyone came by. The whole process took over an hour.

We also didn't think it was a very good value for our money.

We ate there last week. Just wanted to let you know it can be hard to find. Ask someone in the Beach Club lobby (the entrance is around Cape May out on the covered walkway closest to the building by the pool). You can't see a sign from the Boardwalk.

I heard so much about the burgers that I had to try one. Maybe I went there on an off day, but my burger was dry and it tasted old. I had a much better burger at the Pop Century food court. The place is very, very small although we didn't have to wait too long for a table. They seat a lot of people at the counter. I think sharing desserts would be a bit difficult if you were seated at the counter and you were more than a party of 2.

The service was really, really slow. I would think that they'd want the turnover to be quick since it is so small, but we had to wait 30 minutes AFTER we ate to get our bill. No joke. Our waitress said that she mistakenly added something to our bill. She couldn't figure out how to correct it. Then she had to wait for a manager to come out of the back. Then she handed it to us quickly and ran off to wait on a family of 6. It wouldn't have been so bad, but we were there during the "arctic blast" and the weather was finally warm that day and the sun was shining brightly outside.

We were there on 2/11 and 2/12. We had great service BOTH times. On Sat. DH wanted the No Way Jose but could never eat it all so the waiter made him a smaller version with only 1 scoop of ice cream. It was perfect. On Sun when the rest of the family arrived we ordered the Kitchen Sink. The look on everyone's faces was priceless. We made a BIG dent into it but there was no way we were going to finish it. We had them substitute some of the ice cream flavors and toppings and it ended up being VERY good. After awhile it does turn into a big mess of goop.

Funny story from our 2/12 visit. We're sitting outside Beaches 'n Cream, waiting for a table, minding our own business when what do I see in between the check in podium and the 'wait here' sign? A small, maybe 3 yr old boy, with his pants down past his knees, squating, his bare butt just inches away from the pavement! Mom rushes over and asks 'what are you doing?' to which he responds, as all small children do, in a I WANT EVERYONE AT SAB TO HEAR ME voice. 'I'm going to poop!'

This was by far the worst food I have ever eaten on Disney property. We had turkey wraps. Now they were BAD! There was one piece of tasteless turkey in each wrap and boy were they dry as sawdust. The cookies that came with them were burnt, the chips soft and the milk shake was pure sugar.The service was wose than the food so all in all it was horrible. Its the closest I have ever coming to walking away. Im in no hurry to go back.
