Me and the people I am going with are burger, chicken and ice cream lovers and from what I have read on here people seem to like Beaches and Cream. What does everyone think and what is the best way to get there from POP? Is the food there the same as what we would get at our food court? :sunny:

From what I have seen, everything is made to order, so everything is freshly prepared but service can be slow. We've had take out burgers for the kids (when we were going out) I had a small taste and it was good, but I won't say it was the best burger i've ever had. We stay at BCV, so it's a good option for us, but to make the effort if your not staying there may not be worth the time. The only way I would do it is if you were at EPCOT and took a break to go there for lunch. Otherwise it seems like too much of a hastle to plan a meal around . Of course thats just my opinion.. :flower: natt

We are the same type of eaters and we also stayed at Pop Century. I have to say, Pop makes a pretty mean burger and their fries are really good. I'd say burger and fry wise Pop gives B & C a run for it's money. Where B & C wins is in the dessert selection and the other menu items, like the cheesesteak sub - YUM! I would definitely give it a try. What we did was we took the bus to MGM for the day, took the boat over to B & C, then walked to Epcot for the evening and walked around the World Showcase a little and watched Illuminations. We are day long park hoppers, it's just us two adults, so we don't usually need afternoon naps ;) It's really easy to walk back and forth from Epcot.

I don't think it's worth a SPECIAL trip just to eat there, but if you are anywhere near, then by all means. Be aware that it is not a large restaurant and there aren't many tables. If it's crowded, you may have to wait to be seated.

We always stayed at the BC and we loved the food at B&C (especially the desserts) but, more often then not, when we wanted to eat the wait was just too long. The place is really tiny for such a large resort.

We did not like the place at all. The food was the worst I have ever eaten in my whole life and I really mean that. We did not have burgers but had wraps. They were dry as sawdust and had barely any filling. The processed turkey inside was horrible. They were accompanied by burnt (very burnt) cookies and chips which were soft. My ds had a milkshake that was mediocre and very sweet - no one liked that either. Well, the service just topped off our Beaches and Cream experience.
I will go back but only to try the ice cream - just hope that is good!

We loved it there! We had only planned to go once on our last trip but ended up going a second time because the No Way Jose was just calling our name! The burgers were good, not fabulous, but very good. The desserts were awesome, though! Love the No Way Jose!

We went on a day when we began at MGM, then boated over to B&C, then walked to Epcot for the remainder of our day. We knew to expect a wait at B&C so we planned our arrival there about 10:30 in the morning, and just waited until they opened at 11. That way we were one of the first in the door and wouldn't have to fight for a seat. Worked out perfectly!

Great food and a nice quick meal.

DW and I usually try to go every time we're at the world. I also went for dinner when I was on a business trip in Orlando in January of this year.

We had great food there! Last year we made a special trip from the Poly to the BC to eat and then we strolled along the Boardwalk and then over to Epcot to watch Illuminations. We sat at the counter, it definitely adds to the whole experience. To get there, you would have to take a bus to a theme park or Downtown Disney and then switch buses. Or if you are in Epcot one day, you could walk over from World Showcase, it's a nice walk. You could also take a boat from MGM to the BWI and then walk over.

We usually go on an EPCOt day or an MGM day. It is more convenient from EPCOT, but doable from MGM. Love the Fudge Mud Slide!!!

DS13 & I are planning Beaches & Cream for a late lunch while we're at BCV this August

We really enjoyed our meal there this trip. I'd suggest that you go for a late lunch to avoid crowds and wait time. I'd also suggest that you go on a day when you are at Epcot. The walk from International Gateway to Beaches and Cream isn't bad. I got the roast beef and DH got a hamburger. We also got HUGE sundaes and they were GREAT!!

I have to say we weren't impressed by B&C. My DH had a cheeseburger that was dripping with grease, dry fries, and I just had a grilled cheese which was ok. We split the brownie sundae which was just ok too. While we thought the place was absolutely adorable, we just thought the food was alright and not the best. We would probably go back just because it's a fun place to go, but really the food is probably better in the value resorts food courts!
Another thing is that it smelled sooo bad in there! I thought it smelled like sour milk, and DH thought it smelled like dirty dish mop water. That probably didn't help! :earsgirl:
