We are going to be at disney sept 6-16. Originally our flight got in late on the 6th so we were gonna do a CS meal for dinner to save a TS for hoop de do. Our flight was changed and we arrive early in the morning now. We decided to use the CS for our lunch and want to go to beaches and cream and have the kitchen sink for dinner!! Haha we want to kick off vacation right!!

My question is, we have never been to beaches and cream or had the kitchen sink, do we need to expect a wait to get served? Do we get a table or do we go up and get it? I have seen the ice cream shop on the tv specials of disney and it looked like you got served but I just want to know how we should go about getting our giant ice cream for dinner lol

We tried to eat there this past week for dinner at 8:45 PM...there was an 1.5 hour wait for a table inside. I did see a "to go" window, but I'm not sure if you can order everything from the menu there. There are also a few tables/chairs outside the restaurant. We ended up ditching our plans and went to Cape May Cafe instead. I have read that if you get there a little bit before it opens for lunch you can minimize your wait. Have not tried that myself.

We tried to go last week around 2:00 to have the Kitchen Sink and there was an hour wait.

We go there every year and never have a problem. If you go at an off time you should have a minimum wait especially is September.

There is a to go window but with limited selection. Kitchen Sink is not one of them. The restaurant does not take reservations so there could be a wait. If you could go mid-afternoon the wait would be the least.

Plan on a 30-60 minute wait for dinner (and anything less will be a bonus). The restaurant doesn't take ADRs and the only way to get a Kitchen Sink is to eat in the restaurant. The arcade is next door if you want something to do to kill time while you wait.

We wanna go at dinner. In September you still think it will be an hour wait?

I would say get there about 4 and that might minimize your wait. However, the better strategy might be to do it for lunch! And then use your CS for supper. We've been at opening at different times of the year and if you get there right at 11 or by 11:30 it won't be an issue. They have a very limited number of tables and booths so that's why it backs up. However we LOVE the kitchen sink!! Enjoy!

I think you will be fine, but have a few questions.

Are you saying you want a KS for dinner only? Or have dinner at B&C and the KS for dessert. You can pay for dinner at B&C to save a TS credit if you want.

Also-what is your park ticket? Why not add a day (arrival) and hit EPCOT, then walk over and get a KS mid afternoon with minimal wait.

We want ks for dinner. We having a CS for lunch, and we don't have a TS for dinner as we are using it the next night to do hoop de do revue.

We have a ticket that day, we can do the ks for lunch we just wanted it for dinner. Lol

K that makes sense. Consider earlier the better as suggested, yet if you really want right at dinner...say 7PM-then maybe prepare to tour the area a bit while you wait, or have one member walk over a bit sooner and get your name in. Hit Illuminations or Fantasmic after IMO.

Everyone said that there is a wait, do you have to stand and wait or do they give you a beeper?? Or how does it work??

They give you a beeper/pager, you can wait outside and yes there are places to sit or you can also go next door to the arcade to keep the kids/yourself entertained. Since you're going for a KS dinner I wouldn't be surprised if you had an hour wait or longer. If that's what you want to do just plan for the wait:thumbsup2

I've wanted to do it for years so I'm willing to wait but why is it so long for the ks specifically? Isn't it just a wait for the whole place?

Beaches and Cream is small and popular so it doesn't matter what you order(there burgers are great BTW) but since you can't get the KS to go you have to be seated.

It is a very, very small restaurant. Far smaller than the demand should dictate. So no matter how slow a period you're visiting Disney, you likely will have to wait to get into Beaches and Cream. Like I said before, I'd plan for 30-60 minutes and have anything be less feel like a bonus.
