Beaches and Cream help

Can anyone tell me what time they open for lunch? Secondly how busy is it at that time of day? We are thinking about going there before going to DHS on our second DHS day. Oh just thought of another question, what is the best way to get from AKL to Beaches and Cream and then to DHS? Thanks

Beaches and Cream opens at 11am. How busy they are depends on the time of year you visit, so it's hard to give you a specific answer.
As to getting there from AKL, perhaps take the bus to DHS, then then boat to YC/BC. You can also walk to/from DHS.

We ate lunch there at noon and there was already people in there so I think they open at 11?

we just came back from bcv and ate twice at beaches and cream. our first time we were suppose to wait 45 minutes but only had to wait 30 minutes and the second time our wait was around 20 minutes.

They are open at 11 am and you can go to eat food and/or ice cream.

It was worth the wait.

From AKL, my preference would be a bus to DAK and then a bus to Y&BC. Just get off at the YC stop as it's first of the two. You will most likely also stop at the S&D but will still probably beat the boat.

But since you never know with the buses, just hop whichever comes first...DAK or DHS.

As for getting to DHS from the restaurant, you can walk (15-20 minutes) or take the FriendShip boat (probably about 20 minutes also). I don't think there's a bus from the resort to DHS.

Right, no buses from DHS to the Epcot resorts. And I think you're right that the boat ride is about 20 minutes but you must also wait for the boat...usually.

I read a report on the resort board. Someone on the resort board is just back from AKL. They had a great trip but reported average bus waits of 40 minutes. Lori, if that's your experience, I would take whichever park bus comes first with the exception of Epcot. Even if it's MK, the good news is that those buses from MK to Y&BC are usually dedicated to those resorts these days. The ride itself is only 7 minutes from MK to YC.

I just called for myself they said 11am to 11 pm.

Yes, those have been the hours for some years now...4 or 5 at least?

It used to open earlier to serve continental breakfast type things.
