After looking at the menus for the different restaurants, B & C has prices more in line with a CS. However, ALOT of people seem to really like it. We are staying at the Beach Club, so it would definitely be convenient. What do you think...is this a good choice for a TS or is it better to pay OOP?

I ate there for the first time this past January. I was alone and sat at the counter. To be honest, I'm surprised to see it classified as TS on the dining plan brochure.

Yes, it's true, you get a waitress. But, I'd say the atmosphere is more CS-like. For example, the dining room was quite small and crowded. Even tho there was a hostess, it looked like everyone had self-seated and just squeezed large parties around a 4-top. Plus, the menu is, IMO, rather limited...burgers, sandwiches, lite fare, etc. It reminded me of Friendlies...but the ice cream looked better.

Based on observations from this one experience, I'd suggest paying OOP. Save your TS credits for other nearby restaurants.

I am one of the few people that wouldn't even care for it as a CS! Definately not a TS. Better off going to Cape May if proximity is an factor.

I have seen so many pictures of there food and it looks really good :thumbsup2 This will be my first trip and I was wondering if you could tell me where it is located at.

Hmmmm........

B&C or Le Cellier/Concourse Steakhouse? They are all 1 TS credit and I would choose the real sit down places over B&C.

I would use a TS credit at B&C if I did not have an ADR for anywhere else and needed to use a TS credit stat!

It is one of our favorites, but it is all of the above, small, crowded, squeezed too many at a table, etc.

Sometimes they burn the onion rings and I really like their onion rings but not burnt.

I would and have paid OOP when using the Dining Plan. We used the TS credit we saved to go to HDDR instead.

They have changed the menu at B&C, they have cut back on some of the item's they used to serve, a few of the better deal sandwiches have been dropped. While it alright to eat there and not bad, I personally think it's way to overrated. Better to pay oop.

People love dessert!

We stay at bcv frequently, I would suggest either pay oop, or eat at
cape may and then have b&c for dessert oop. It is definately not on
the calibur of Le Cellier or a character meal or anything else considered a
ts.

We ate there last year on the dining plan and we will be eating there again this year on the dining plan. I think what it's "worth" is based on how much you enjoy it. We ate at Concourse steak house last year and it cost way more than B&C but we thought Concourse was horrible and a waste of time but we all still talk about how much we loved B&C and can't wait to go back. :cool1: IMO It is definetly "worth" a TS credit.

For us it's worth it.

It also depends on how you order.

True, it doesn't have the "value" of places like LeCellier.

At B&C we go for an early lunch & split one credit. We do this twice, and DD gets a kids meal at one of them.

We order an item like a double cheeseburger, then add bacon & grilled onions. Substitute onion rings for fries. Have a flavor added to the coke. With the appetizer & dessert, and tax & tip, the "cost" came to be just about what the "cost" of a buffet was.

We look forward to returning to B&C. :)

We're not going there for a TS but are definitely going for ice cream! Just give me the kitchen sink and I'll be happy!! :cheer2:

The onion rings were great. We ordered malts to split and they came in two glasses. The burgers were okay. The roast beef sandwich was okay. I am not sure we will go there again.

On our arrival weekend we will not be on the plan and that is when we plan to eat at B&C. We love it but its a burger and ice cream joint, no way would I use a TS credit for it.
