We went on the 4 day Wonder last year and I know at Castaway Cay DCL provided beach towels but now we are going on the Magic in October. Do we need to take our own beach towels for Grand Cayman and Cozumel where we will be doing private excursions not through DCL?

Thanks!

You can always grab a towel before you get off the ship, it doesn't matter who your excursion is through...

Do you have to give them your key to the world card or anything or do you just grab one from around the pool area and bring it back?

If you are on a DCL sponsored excursion there will be towels at your meeting point....usually in one of the clubs or lounges. They have stacks of towels for you to take with you.

If you are on your own excursion you can take towels from the pool area. You DO NOT need to give them your card or anything, just take them from the teak cabinets. DCL just requests that you bring them back, obviously. They ususally have a bin outside the ship to put wet towels in when you return.

On CC day DCL will have big towel bins set up for everyone to take towels. CM's usually hand them out and you can ask for more than one per person.

Even though it takes up space...we always bring own own towels. DCL's are just too small, IMO to do the job. I like a full size towel to dry off with. If I don't bring one from home I will buy a DCL towel in the shop onboard...they have so many great ones for sale. Here is a sample

At the site just click the right arrow to see some of the other towels.
