Several years ago, on New Years Eve, the Fort had a beach party with music, snack food, beer and wine for $$$. Has anybody heard if they are having this again?? So excited, as we will be there 12/26 - 01/07.

I suspect we may need to wait till December 1st for that answer. While there has traditionally been a NYE Beach Party I think we will have to wait and see. I am taking heart that some of the Standard Holiday events For 4th of July and Halloween, Hoping to see Aamc's son defend his donut eating championship crown.
We arrive a touch ahead of you on the 17th

We will be there this year with just that goal in mind, Mike! We arrive on the 28. Last year, there was no party and it was pretty sad evening - we even missed the golf cart celebratory horn blowing :rotfl2: . The parties are our favorite way to celebrate NYE, I think this will be our 6th or 7th year? Hope to see you there!

Hope that things stay on an even keel. Last year Lucille was found to have a Kidney Rock that was a significant problem just before we were about to leave. The year before we both got sick while there and developed what the Dr's that treated me in the hospital once we got home now believe I had undiagnosed Covid. This year we are praying she gets longer effect from steroid injection treatment to her knee that the insurance company insists she try before they will authorize the replacement surgery she will absolutely need within 2 years

Barb,

You can always have your own party. Bluetooth speaker, chairs, a few loop friends and some Wisconsin cheese and wine... Ta Da!

And we will just miss you. Check in on 1/9.

steroid injections in my arthritic hands really helped for 3 months, but the knuckle shots are too painful for the results. Shouldn't be so bad in the knee, I know my late mother received the shots every 6 months and swore by it. Hopefully she has good results, has she had them in the past?

I have to get my neck injected every so often. Probably 4 cycles in the past 15 years. Each cycle is 2-3 actual injections. I had a bad off road wreck in my 20s and get to pay for it now. They do wonders.

Had my hip injected twice. Both hips are trashed, but as long as something medical works, I'll hold off on surgery as long as possible.

jI am so sorry we will miss you. Perhaps meeting on your way down. Have a great time, and yes, we can always party ourselves!

Hips is easy , and easy rehab. Knees, not so much.

Nothing to worry about. These are all well trained Tourist LOVING Disney Gators. On top of that Disney installed that Small child, small animal and Gator Proof fencing around waterfront areas. That is guaranteed to stop any Party crashing Gators.
