Beach for 1 night??

Hi
we were thinking of going to a beach for 1 night of our holiday. Possibly Clearwater?
does anyone have any experience of which beach is the best and also any hotel recommendations.

We've stayed at Clearwater Beach on a couple of occasions, but as this was in August and hot, hot, hot, we tended to stick around the hotel pool during the hotter part of the day.

Also worth considering if you are thinking of visiting Busch Gardens to have a full day at Clearwater Beach, stay over, then visit BG on your return journey.

A nice beach that has alot of activities - jet skis, para-sail, fishing boats, shops, restaurants, spas, and a beautiful beach - is Clearwater Beach. It's about a two and half hour drive from Orlando. There are lot of hotels with different price ranges to select from.

We went to St Pete's for a day. The beach was beautiful.

When I was younger we used to go to St Petes for 4wks and then go down to Disney for a wk or 2, I loved spending time there and hope to take my kids when they are a bit older and not begging for Disney only!

also theres johns pass great if you want to watch the world go by, go on as dolphin trip etc etc just love it!!
