Beach Cottages at Vero

We are going to stay for the first time at VB in mid-October. We (DH, myself, two young children) are staying in a 1BDR. Can anyone suggest how we might go about seeing one of the Beach Cottages. Our home resort is BW but are considering planning a family reunion at Vero and would like to see what the accomodations are like.

We just returned from staying in a cottage at VB.
We actually did it in reverse, as we asked the front desk for a tour of a 2br. If you ask them nice (beg), and they someone available, and they have an unoccupied cottage, they will show you one. You can see the outside of them without a tour. See my post a few pages back "Vero Beach Review" for some cottage info.

They may still be using one of the cottages for sales purposes - if so, it's usually open for coffee in the morning, and then they usually do a couple of open house events at the cottage each week.

If they don't do this anymore, then I'd suggest talking to the front desk - I'm sure the could arrange to let you see an unoccupied one.

They're not still using one for sales purposes. (At least they weren't in May.) Your best bet is doing what Maistre Gracey did and ask nicely.

We were at VB in July for 6 nights, and we asked to see a Beach Cottage, but there was never 1 vacant at all during the 6 days. So we were out of luck.

The Beach Cottages are very popular and can be difficult to book. So I am not surprised that they may not be available for viewing.

I have stayed in one, and I can assure you they are luxurious accommdations! The bedrooms are situated on the first floor and the living areas are upstairs to afford the most gorgeous views. The front and back have spacious decks so you can either follow the sun, or avoid it as the case may be.

I dream of one day returning to stay in one again. Four nights was just not enough!!

We will be staying in a beach cottage for 2 nights, checking in on 10/13 and checking out on 10/15.

If you happen to be there during those few days, PM me, and we could work out something so you could come in and see our's....
