Need recommendations about a great studio villa location for first ever trip to BCV! Floors? Views? Thanks!!!,

Since BCV is behind the BC, there really isn't much in the way of views. A courtyard view or a quiet pool view, either are nice views. Some request a Epcot view which really isn't a view and you might get the road below.

:earsboy: Bill

We enjoyed seeing the Epcot fireworks from our room. Ask for a higher floor so you can't hear the road as much and will be above the trees.

We are heading to BCV for the first time in February, The map is very helpful! Thanks! We have stayed at VWL many times (Our Home) along with BWV and BLT, This is our firts venture over to BCV, Going 2/22-2/26 for the Princess Half Marathon.

What is the difference between a 1-bedroom dedicated and a 1-bedroom lock-off?

I have never seen this at any other resorts we have stayed at......

we requested a higher floor to see fireworks. Think we got a 5th floor room. We saw them, but you also get a bit cutoff of the view from the treetops. Still worked out well! Good luck! ;)

I see on the map that they have 1-bedroom dedicated and a 1-bedroom lock-off

Everyone's idea of a great view is different. However, my favorite villa was studio 422. It was very close to the elevators, but being off on the little "jog" to the left made it somewhat quiet. It also gave me a great, straight-on view of the fireworks. However, if you have little ones with you, be aware that the lower part of the balcony is solid-

The lovebugs there were just that year-everyone was talking about how it was the worst year ever.
The location is also close to the laundry.

At several of the resorts you have a choice of a 1-br dedicated and a 1-br lock-off. A lock-off has a connecting room to a studio, and can also be booked as a 2 br lock-off, one door opening to the 1 br portion, and another door opening to the studio part.

Dedicated rooms have only one door to the outside, whether they're studios, 1-br or 2 br. In 2 br, the second bedroom has an extra closet, rather than the studio kitchenette.

We've only stayed in a 1 bedroom, but I always request an upper floor Epcot view. Twice we had our request honored. The road never bothered us and it was cool to see at least the higher fireworks from the balcony. It was also a lot of fun because we could clearly hear the band in England! Last stay we overlooked the quiet pool and canal which was fine as well. The only thing I didn't like was that we couldn't control the balcony light (maybe because it was over a public area) so it came on at dusk and stayed on until dawn. Bummer for us because we like to sit out there at night and enjoy a glass of wine and I felt like I was under a spotlight in my jammies for all to see!

If you go to DVCNEWS.COM go to BCV room finder - many of the rooms include pics of balcony views.

Us too! :thumbsup2

BCV is one of our family's favorite resorts! We love it there!! I think the best advice to give about requesting BCV views is that there really aren't amazing BCV views, at least not enough to worry about. You may get to see the tops of the fireworks or partial epcot views, but nothing spectacular IMHO. What makes BCV great are not the views or even the rooms....again JMHO. We love BCV for the location, SAB, the location, convenient dining options, the location, the casual atmosphere and resort amenities, SAB, and the location. Hope you have a great trip!!

we always have a pool/canal view b/c we have a HA room. We love the higher floors, you can see WISHES!! BCV is rather small so any area is close and its just a beautful resort! We are going in APril 2013 and having a hard time not booking it. We are making ourselves try somewhere new!!!!!!!!!!

Us too!! And today is our anniversary and DH surprised me by suggesting we upgrade to a 1 bedroom for the weekend as our "present" to each other! SO EXCITED!

For the first 8 years we requested the 5th floor and rooms between 539 and 552 (depending the number of kids came along). Since the trees have grown we request only first floor rooms (near the lobby) with the woods view. We found that the walk to and from the fifth floor rooms to the elevator was a long way after an all day visit to the parks.
:)
