Beach Club

We recently stayed there Sept. 30-Oct. 5 during the Food & Wine festival. It was very nice, great location, great pool, and clean Studio type room. We really enjoyed being next door to EPCOT. It was very convenient to have the novelty of walking back to our room after Extra Magic Hours at night and after Illuminations. In other words, we were able to avoid the mad dash for the buses and the monorail when the park was closing. When we used the bus service for the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, we never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus. We will definitely stay at Beach Club again.

Great location (adjacent to Epcot, near Studios and Boardwalk), SAB (possibly the best pool on property), theme (early 20th century Mid-Atlantic "stick-style" seaside resort), Beaches and Cream (great sandwiches and ice cream); access to monorail via Epcot (no need to use a bus or car except for water parks and AK).

For some reason it seems to show normal wear faster then the other resorts. Not that you would find it objectionable, but just as an observation.

We love the barefoot-in-the-lobby atmosphere. And whichever park we spend most of the day at, we schedule most of our dinner reservations at Epcot so we can walk in and walk out with no problems, no waiting.

DW and I stayed there in early September. The CM's at check in were some of the friendliest and most helpful we have experienced.

We just stayed there a few weeks ago in a 2 bedroom. We love Stormalong bay and the public areas. We walked around the lake to the boardwalk and took in the atmosphere. I love the magicians that perform there at night. We have stayed in three different 2 bedroom villas in the last 4 years, and all of them have been in great shape. The bus service was great all week except for one time waiting for a Magic Kingdom bus. I highly recommend!

The best part about staying here is the easy access to Epcot and Hollywood Studios (within walking distance). I just stayed at the Boardwalk Villas (across the lagoon from Beach Club, and the convenience was amazing. It is nice not having to bus it to the parks!

Great location...
Great service...
Great pool...
and the food at the Marketplace is even good - especially the gelato!

We own and alsways stay at BC. The location is the prime reason for us and, of course Stormalong Bay.

However, this year we were somewhat disppointed by the lack of knowledge of the check-in staff. They did not seem to know which rooms were handicap and which weren't. We had to switch three times before we got one that wasn't. The problems were eventually resolved and very courteously I have to say however, it did put a bit of a downer on our stay.

Love BC! Will be checking in again in 7 days! YAHOO! As posted before me, there are not any negatives that I can think of. Decor is really nice, Stormalong pool, Cape May (character breakfast in the am and a good clambake at night - no characters). Beaches and Cream, Yatchsman Steak House, close proximity to EPCOT and Boardwalk - 10-15 minute walk. We get a studio and try to get EPCOT view. Sometimes you also overlook the road but that has never been a problem. One item I didn't see posted - it's the "home" of Art the greeter. He is a must stop and say hello. What a great gentleman. Enjoy!

Anyone have an opinion about Stormalong Bay being too young for DS13 and DD11. Is it geared mostly to toddler/younger kids?

Not at all, in fact usually the complaint goes the other way around. My 2 sons both teenagers love the pool & slide.

That's good to hear:)
Now all I have to do is try to switch my BWV ressie (to be made next month at the 11 month window) to BCV at the 7 month window in March, for last week of October 2009.;)
I know, I know, good luck with that:confused3
I think I will be needing future pixie dust for that one:rolleyes1

Don't believe the hype, Beach Club is horrible. You're better off going to another resort. (trying to keep a straight face).

I totally agree with the previos poster msabol01, it is horrible, can't believe people want to stay there, stay far away.....:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I want to try BCV, and will try, and try, and wait list and hope, and get pixie dust, and if Mickey is smiling on me, I will get a room;)

Nice try though;)
