BCV studios has 1 queen bed and a double sleeper sofa

OKW studios has 2 queen beds.

If they will be comfortable on the double sleeper sofa then I would let them go.

Just as long as they realized that you aren't giving up the bed!

when the sleeper sofa is put away - you will feel that you have more room.

The three of us stayed in a studio at SSR for seven nights. Our son is 11. We felt very crowded and decided not to stay in a studio again, unless we just did not have the points available. SSR studio is about the same size as the BCV. The sleeper sofa in a studio is a double, not a queen. Only OKW has two queen sized beds and they are two real beds.

Four adults in a studio could be very crowded. A one bedroom will be much more comfortable. We actually had four of us in a one bedroom in October (again SSR) and we felt crowded there. We had tried to get a 2 bedroom but none were available. I know our son would have felt more comfortable. As would his aunt.

Yeah, four adults in a studio might be little tight. OKW has the larger size rooms plus 2 beds. I have not been to BCV but if it's comparable in size to VWL, four would be a tight fit.

I think it depends how much time you spend in the room. If it is just for sleeping, than go for it (as long as you all take quick showers!)

As others have said, with the sofa away you have room.

While the 1 and 2 BR at OKW are huge, I thought the studios were about the same size as all the other DVCs. :confused3 Of course as everyone has said, it is two queens at OKW instead of one Q and a sleeper.

when you consider that all the DVC resorts studios are bigger than the moderates or the values then saying a family of 4 won't fit is a little silly.

some people don't like the studios period. So they say they are too small. Don't pay any attention.

others think that only a solo or a couple trips can do the studios - again all the studios are bigger than the values or moderates. Some deluxes are bigger.

I totally agree with Spicey! Im just back from 12 nights in a BCV studio and 13 nights in an SSR studio. Albeit we travelled with children, but it can be done and done comfortably. If you are comfortable enough to travel in a hotel room together, then a studio is plenty big enough.

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, and if I gotta do a studio to stay for as long as I like in WDW, then I will happily put my family in a studio. :goodvibes

I definitly think you can do 4 adults in a studio. We usually stay in a studio while the rest of the family stays in a 2 bedroom at BCV. My dh and I have more then enough room but we also live in a one bedroom condo so we're use to it.

We couldn't get into any of the DVC rooms for our trip this weekend. So we traded in points and are staying at the Poly instead. My parents, me, and my DH will be in one room. We've done this before and have been okay. I think the BCV studios are bigger then a regular room.

Daisy - if you can request Tahiti - it has the biggest rooms at the Polyn. and in my opinion best location - you can easily walk to the TTC.

the Polyn's Tahiti room is definitely bigger than a studio at any DVC resorts.

I agree with you Pat except that rooms in Tokelau and Rapa Nui are equally big. I think all three of those buildings are great except for the parking lot side of Rapa Nui. Certainly more roomy than a studio.

I also agree with you and Liferbabe about a studio being fine for the OP...especially since they were comfortable in a studio at OKW. As long as the sleeper is OK with the "kids."

Call me crazy...but I thought a studio was fine for 4 of us.... is a 1 bedroom bigger and nicer?? yep, but that doesn't mean the studios are bad. i agree with a previous poster....if it means i get to stay longer...then a studio works for me.

OkW is our home resort and i dearly love the place, but I honestly prefer the studios at BWV and BCV....I like having the sofa bed....during the day it feels more like "home" with a sitting area....at OKW it feels just like a regular hotel room to me. With 4 of us we like having the sofa by day and if you have someone willing to sleep on the sofa bed it just seems more roomy to me....just my opinion though!!

It's definitely do-able....I've done it a few times. It would not be my first choice, but if it's a choice between going and not going....that's an easy decision! ;)

We had our first stay in a villa in August. We stayed in a studio at Boardwalk. It is myself, dh, and dd, 11. Well, we then stayed in a one-bedroom at Boardwalk over Thanksgiving. Thought we had died and gone to heaven. Understand, we had been quite happy in that studio. So, when dd and I had our mother/daughter trip planned for last week, we decided on a studio at BC. Then, dh decided he really wanted to go for part of our time. Only 4 nights. But, after staying in that one-bedroom, we were spoiled. It was most certainly doable. But, we won't do the three of us in a studio again.
As far as the studios being larger than other 'regular' rooms in WDW...we moved over to POR for our last two nights. It was just dd and myself. We both decided that the room at POR was only slightly smaller than the studio at BCV. The sleeping area was about the same. And I really do think that the studios at BCV are a wee bit smaller than those at BWV.

Read the thread about the 2 teen aged boys who couldn't sleep on the sofa bed in their BCV studio. I would go to OKW.

Bobbi :flower:

The bathroom at OKW is all in one room. At the other DVC studios, the sink is outside which would help with getting 4 people ready in the mornings.

I would say they would not be comfortable. There is another thread going on where 15 and 17 year olds were not comfortable on the sleeper in BCV. I would say if you can move your reservation over to OKW you would be ok. In the other resorts, your guests will not be happy. Even in SSR where they have the new comfortable sofa sleepers, they are on the small side for two adults. They are doubles no queen. I would say they are comfortable for 1 adult only.

How comfortable are the queen sofa sleeper in the 1 and 2 bedroom units. We're thinking about rent points for a Oct trip.
