Beach Club Villas

Just returned from Disney and we had the opportunity to tour the villas. They look great! DVC cast members have been testing the villas this past week. It is going to be a great place to stay. The walk to EPCOT was very short. Also, the renovations at Broadwalk seem to be going okay. You can observe the improvements from last year. For those going next week to BCVs have a great time. I am looking forward to our visit at the BCV in August. As an added bonus we will get to visit with our son who is participating in the Disney College Program for six months. Also, some cast membes indicated to me that the Eagles Pines Villias when they open will probably be for fifty years. Enjoy!

Granny -- MickeyC will probably return and give more detail. Basically, it's a type of intern program where college students can work at Disney.

Every six months Disney recruits from colleges around the world for students interested in working at Disney. It is my understanding that approximately 5000 are accepted. Thirty-five hundred from the U.S. and fifteen hundred from other countries. Disney receives more applications than they can accomodate. They are very strict with their personnel polcies. Any violations are cause for immediate dismissal.

There are many varied jobs. My son is working at the Animal Kingdom as an animal presenters. He is a Biology major. Disney attempts to match the background with the job. Other jobs include food handers, working in stores, employee relations, entertainers, etc. It is a great opportunity for the students they get to meet people from around the world. His friend from his college is a participant in the parade at EPCOT.

Last year the day we were leaving we stopped by Disney's Human Resources A/K/A Casting and received some information. He did the rest working with his college. Disney runs a very good program. However, we all know this since most of us are DVC members.
