We were seriously considering the Yacht Club but are now considering the Beach Club Villas instead. Has anyone any advice? Does it work out a lot more expensive? :confused3

Beach Club Villa's is a DVC Resort, were you considering renting points for a stay here?

I love the Beach Club Villa's and are hoping to swap our Boardwalk stay to here next month :teeth:

It depends on how you plan to reserve the villas, on a package, direct from WDW or by renting points from DVC members. Renting points would be the cheapest way but it depends if you can find someone to rent you enough points for the length of your stay. Obviously the studios will be cheaper than the 1 or 2 bedroomed villas, which were you thinking of booking and how many guests would there be?
We love the BCV and always stay there on our WDW holidays so I would book the villas over a regular room any day as we love the resort and we love having a full kitchen and plenty of room (we book the 2 bedroomed dedicated villas and there are 4 adults in the villa.)
If you have any more questions just ask, the BCV is my favourite resort.

I don't understand what renting points is! We were just planning on paying up in cash! We've never been before, it's just that having a villa rather than a hotel room for two weeks appeals. We would like to rent a 1 bedroom villa. There will be four of us me, DH and 2 DS's. I was going to book the original holiday with Virgin through Thomas Cook's travel agents, I'm not sure if I can book the BCV through them, I was going to head into town next week to ask! I'm a novice at that too as we have only ever been abroad twice and that was to DLP!

You can pay cash for a villa or you can rent points off a DVC Member. Might be worth checking on the DVC Boards for info for renting points :)

We love the BCV - we must do - we bought there! It would definitely be cheaper to rent points from a member. Our next trip is "costing" us 288 of our points for 11 nights in September in a 1 bed villa. If we were renting points from someone else that would be about $2880 or about £1700. Now if we had to rent from Disney it would be $5028 or nearly £3000. It makes sense therefore to rent points from another member - though it does involve a degree of trust.
