Beach Club Villas vs Coronado Springs

that's certainly true - but when you're paying the ridiculously high rates at the GF, it's particularly upsetting
you're paying for a particular sort of experience that you're expecting to have and instead you find yourself in a convention hotel.....an experience you could have had for a tenth of the cost of the GF
it almost made me want to demand my money back...i didn't of course, but it did cross my mind....especially when the very LOUD conventioners were gathered around the GF "quiet" pool.....

That's a shame. You should have complained (assuming you didn't). I think I would have! :sad2:

We love CSR too and it's our favourite moderate (mainly because we love the pepper market! LOL)
There is definitely no contest between BCV/BWV and CSR.

I'm not sure if it's different now (we got married 3 and 1/2 years ago) but we could use dvc stays as part of our room allocation, we had someone stay on points and it counted towards our minimum. I really wouldn't worry about reaching your minimum, if you can't get to it ask on the boards if someone can help you out with a ressie number.

Oh, we're fine with the minimum, filled that between us and our parents.

I want the free night (room block) minimum to be met too though. :rotfl: Hence the drama.

Just to throw this in to the mix - CSR has some very nice suits that they could upgrade you to if you went that route.

Personally on my honeymoon I would want a regular room (not booked as DVC) so that I would get daily housekeeping etc

Hope you make your mind up and get your first choice :goodvibes

ETA - we have stayed 5 times at CSR and love the place. We have never had trouble with the convension groups and the grounds are so romantic to stroll round.

If I was you I would definately go for the BCV and then ask on here for a kind person who is staying at CSR to let you use their ressie number to allow you to meet the free room requirement. You won't be the first and people are usually more than happy to do this.
