Hi,

Can someone help me with these questions regarding BCV :

1- Which use years are available now when buying BCV from Disney ?

2- Since the resort is not operating yet, if I buy, for example, a may use year... what will be the maintenance fees for 2002 ??? I guess it's 3.71$/pt from july to december for everyone, am I right ?

3- I've read that there is the magical beginnings incentive at 5$ / point... is this the buyback of the 1st year ?

Thanks in advance

any aditionnal informations on the resort are welcomed

I thought the magical beginnings was to expire at the end of May. Since it is now June, did they extend it?

The dues are $3.77 per point for the entire year. DVC will be prorating that amount to take into account both the opening date and the Use Year you purchase.

I'm not sure what the amount of the current Magical Beginning payment is but you are correct about how it works. I don't think there's a May Use Year so we'll use April as the example. When you purchase, you'll be getting points good from April 1, 2002-March 31, 2003. Disney will buy these back. You will get more points on April 1, 2003. (Of course, you could borrow these points into 2002-2003 if you find you need to make a trip.)

I have no idea what Use Years are currently available.

I am also looking at a BCV purchase, so I may be able to help with your questions.

1. I was told Feb, Mar, May or June were my choices as of last week. You may be able to get a later use year if that is important and you push them for it.

2. The first year's dues will be prorated beginning on July 1 or the month of your use year, whichever is later. I was told that they cannot legally charge dues until the property is officially open. So, an earlier use year basically gives you a discount on dues for your first year.

3. I was offered the $5 per point MB, but that does not seem like such a good deal since you still have to pay the dues and the points can be used or rented and are then more valuable than $5 per point.

Hope that helps!
