I am going to be staying at the Beach Club Villas. This is my first stay there and we have 6 Adults and 2 small kids. I was figuring the dedicated 2 BR would work best for that amount of people as opposed to the studio and 1 BR lock-off.

Please tell me you experience with this resort? Have you stayed with this may people and what is the best request for a room?

Thanks, Erin

Not all of the dedicated 2 bedrooms at BCV have the 2 queen beds the second bedroom, you have to specifically reserve it. Is this a points reservation?

Yes, I am renting pts throught David's Disney Rental

You need to verify if your reservation is for the 2 queen dedicated 2 bedroom if that's what you want. There are only a limited number. You can waitlist if not available (the member would have to do that).

Thanks for your help. Do you think it’s worth the hassle in trying for the double queen or are the sleeper couches pretty comfy

There are only 25 dedicated two bedroom villas at BCV that have two queen beds in the second bedroom. They go pretty fast. So if the member you rented from is a BCV owner and they booked at 11 months out, you should have a chance. If otherwise, not good.

I will echo the previous post. The 2 Queen bed 2BRs are pretty scarce. I booked at the 11 month window and was able to secure one. You will want to check to see what yours is booked at.

As far as comfort level on the pull-outs, they are what they are...pull-outs. I have slept on a couple and the one bad thing I hated was that I had no way to really prop my pillow up to raise my head. Kept slipping down. The mattresses are definitely less forgiving on your back than the regular beds as well.

My advice...get the 2 Queens if you can.

We just snagged a 2br w/2q for next week (one night only)
I have a floorplan of BCV w/room types /numbers and am
wondering if anyone can tell me what I should request.
There are some dedicated 2br ending in -34 and -54 that look
like they have a different layout. Can anyone help? Thanks!:)

Wondering this myself about those 34 & 54 rooms. HELP! :upsidedow

I was just trying to figure out the cost for that same room on saves site, do you mind pm'ing me with the cost? I'm working on figuring out an affordable option for 7 of us for January 2012. But, by my calculations (which are probably wrong) were around $5200. About 2000 more than renting 2 rooms on a moderate resort

A week in a 2 bedroom at Beach Club villas, for a DVC points reservation is 271 points. Depending on how much you pay for the rental per point, it will run you somewhere between $2710 and $3600, on average.

Check out the DVC rental boards if you are interested as it has all the ins/outs of how to do one.

Those rooms have the door to the second bedroom closer to the patio or balcony and not in the entrance hall. I don't care for them, personally.

There are no great views or room locations here as it was built in the parking lot. I would suggest either pool view then decide if you want upper or lower floor. This is a small resort so wanting and getting are not always the same thing.

Are the rental boards on here? I'm on my cell & can't find it

You have to be signed in to the site before they will show up. They are listed with the other DVC forums.

I only found the 1 post dvc forum right before the resort thread? am i missing something?

Not quite sure what you are saying. If you log into the DIS with your password, you will see the list of DVC site (Five of them- Operations, Planning, Mouselaneous, Rent/Trade Board and Availability). If you are not logged into the DIS, you can't see it.

Just wondering if those rooms felt smaller with the door in a different location? Mostly my question was out of curiosity. We own at BCV and are booked for a 2 bdrom dedicated for March 2012. Thanx for your thoughts on the subject. :)
