How can we get to the Contemporary to have an early breakfast - 8am at Chef Mickeys at Contemporary or Konas at Poly from the Beach Club? I stayed on site because of the convenience and can't find a way to get to the contemporary from bc easily? Please help leaving next week.

Take the early (or character meal) bus from the Beach Club to the MK then hop the monorial to the Poly and the Contemporary. You can also walk to the Contemporary from the MK.

Resort to Park and Park to Park transportation is a breeze but Resort to Resort transportation is tricky as there are too many to have buses.

Don't worry, when you check in you will get a transportation guide that will be helpful. I love the Beach Club and you will love the option of taking the boat to Epcot and MGM or even walking.

Thanks so much, so there is a character breakfast bus, do these bus's take you to the character meals at resorts too? Doesn't sound like it, so best bet is to go to MK then monorail, got it! Thanks again. :)

Your best bet is to bus to MK and walk to the Contemporary. There is a walking path from MK that runs past the resort bus stops. To get to the monorail, you will have to walk all the way across the entrance plaza from the bus stops to the monorail station, which will take about as long as just walking to the Contemporary.

The short answer is "It depends".

When you get on the bus, tell the bus driver you have reservations at _____. If the ADR is early enough, and the driver has time, he MAY be able to drop you off right at the resort.

They run an early bus to the MK for the breakfasts there. You can catch this bus and tell your bus driver where you are headed. In March our bus driver was our personal chauffer drove my family directly to the Poly. It's not a guarantee so I'd plan on the extra time it would take to go to the MK and then monorail or walk(contemp.) to your approprate hotel.

Thanks so much everyone. So, we'll plan on taking bus to MK with the chance the bus driver will stop at Contemporary for us. Thanks for this tip, i wouldn't have thought to ask the bus driver that, hopefully he will go for that. If not, we will go to MK then walk, any idea how much time this will take for an 8:10 ressie - coming from BC?

I don't know how tight your budget is, but taking a taxi directly from one resort to the other is much faster. I've used cabs for resort dinners, and it's roughly $15, including tip. The valet guys will fetch one for you, so you don't even have to worry about calling ahead.

If I have an early ADR I usually take a cab, it makes for a relaxing morning and no pressure or rushing.

The rule of thumb is to be out at the resort bus stop 45-50 minutes before your ADR. This is just in case you missed the previous bus and have to wait the 15-20 minutes.

15 minute wait
15-20 minute ride
10 minute walk to ADR

For an 8:10am reservation I would be at the resort bus stop no later than 7:20am. This will give you plenty of time in case you just miss a bus.
To sum up the early bus situation:
WDW provides early buses to the various breakfasts all around the resort. MK service begins before 6:30am daily and 7:00am daily for the rest of the World. Tell the driver if you are going to a resort like the Contemporary for Chef Mickey's and he/she may be able to drop you off directly at the resort if time allows. If you have to get off at the MK just take the seven minute walk to the Contemporary.
Once again I just want to add....NEVER listen to any tranportation advice from anyone on the phone or in person at WDW unless they are wearing the purple pants of the Disney bus drivers. For whatever reason Cast Members are notorious for giving out very bad transportation advice. When in doubt come over here to the DIS and ask.
