Has anybody stayed in studios 316 or 416 at BCV.
Have they both got large balconies?
Non-Smoking?
Non-handicapped?

I was thinking of requesting these at the desk if the above apply. I'm sure I've read on here somewhere how nice these rooms are but I can't find the threads.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Haven't been in those rooms, just want to reiterate that requesting certain rooms is almost always not going to happen. You can never tell about where people have been placed before your arrival.

According to InstImprs PDF file here's the info on those rooms:

316 is a dedicated, non-smoking studio with a large balcony.

416 is a dedicated, non-smoking studio with a small balcony.

Both are close to the elevators.

Now I think you should take small and large balconies with the understanding that everyone's idea of size is different.

I agree with zulaya - requesting specific rooms is nearly always a recipe for NOT getting what you really want.

If you want a large balcony, request that. If you want non-smoking request that. If you want a tub** , request that. If you want close to elevators, request that. Etc. Order your requests in the order of importance to you. This is the very best way to increase your chances of getting what you really want.

** Don't request "Non-handicapped" or (request "Not"- anything). In many cases, all the room assigner will see is "handicapped" (or the thing you don't want) and that is what you will get. Better to request a positive such as "tub". The HA studios do not have tubs. The only exception to that is non-smoking. The room assigners are very accustomed to looking for that.

Good luck and best wishes -
